Would it be possible to instal the bennet smart/wakeplate on a 08 x-star LY6 +/- 3350lbs ballast?
the boat has a 14.5x14.25 at the moment,i guess a smartplate in combination with a 14.5x15.75 might save some fuel & better performance, lower rpm.
any info?

I don't see why not, I have been developing a smart plate for my boat which doesn't come standard with a trim tab. Results encouraging so far:

I believe Supra has rights to the smartplate. I don't see how putting it on any other boat would be possible.

^^^ Just name it differently. You aren't coping anyone. Tige with their TAPS plate, Supra with the Smartplate, MB's have TAP plates also, ... They all do about the same thing.

No smartplate is something different. Like Zero off is to a throttle IMO.

David, supra's smart plate is a electronic system integrated with it's trim tab that automatically adjust the trim tab based on speed. The settings are pre-set by the driver. No other manufacturer has this ....yet.

They've had it for a couple of years. Saves gas getting on plane faster with weight. Sounds a lot more useful to someone that actually wakeboards than Johnny Space Commander gauge pods MC is too busy building yachts to think of things like that.
