WAKE WORLD HOME

This page is like the bulletin board by the front door at your favorite wake spot. When WakeWorld members update their profile, create an event, start a poll, make new friends or list something in the classifieds, you'll see it here first.
WakeWorld Website Re-Launch - March 1, 2010
Getting Registered/Logged In
If you had an account in the old WakeWorld Discussion Board, that account information has been transferred to this system. You should be able to use your email to request a new password (passwords are encrypted so we couldn't bring them over). That way you will carry on with your old account which has your name, post count, sign up date, etc. Go here to request a new password for your account: http://www.wakeworld.com/lostpass.php.

If you weren't a registered member of the old discussion board, but you'd like to get involved with the new WakeWorld WakeSpace community, get your account set up at http://www.wakeworld.com/signup.php.

WakeWorld Points Store
WakeWorld Points are our way of rewarding you for the time you spend on WakeWorld. To score points, start by at least adding a photo to your profile and then build from there. Next, add content that's valuable to the community, leave comments and share articles via your social networks. The more you do, the more points you'll log. We'll be tweaking the way points are earned as we learn more about what type of activities bring the most value to the community. Visit the store at http://www.wakeworld.com/store/.

Once you log at least 200 points, you'll be able to go shopping in the WakeWorld Points Store. Not only can you buy WakeWorld gear, but you can grab goods brought to you by CWB Board Co., Liquid Force, Tommy's, Monster Tower, Monster Energy, Nautiques, OnlyInboards.com and more.

New Classifieds System
I've brought over our makeshift Classifieds from the old discussion board. However, they will all be closed threads and you won't be able to add anything new to that section. You can follow the menu links above to find our new Classifieds, so use those from now on. I'm just leaving the "old" ones in place for a month or two so that people can easily cut and past their ads into the new Classifieds if they want to.

I'm interested to hear his thoughts on the different sizes. Did he feel like he was getting more pop from the big board behind the boat, because it didn't really look like a big difference to me? I wish I had the money or opportunity to try a bunc...

The amp shouldn't draw any current if it's not on, no matter whether it's wired directly to the battery or through the switch.

That should be okay. You could add 1 or 2 pair of XS-808's if you have room.

Also, throw that BOSS amplifier away. It's not putting out anywhere close to 1000 watts... it MIGHT be giving you 300 watts total RMS, if that. They're garbage. The PPI 900.4 amp can be had for 166 bucks on amazon. Worth every penny. You'll m...

I just put Rev 10's on my boat this past weekend. I can tell you, these things are worth the price even if they cost double what they sell for now. I went from 4 6.5" coaxials on my tower to a single pair of REV10s on a Syn4 amp. The volume they...

I had a friend doing some chase boat pictures the other week and he could hear my music clearly over his boat and mine at a "safe distance from rider". He has a pair of REV10 and its the same if I'm behind him.

jonyb made a post in this thread: 2/0 welding wire for stereo/ do you run rev 10's on full or high?
That's a LOT of power on the 650's, be careful..... Run all amps on high pass, except for the sub. The SD4 should be set around 110-140hz, the towers at 80-100hz, all depending on what you listen to.

The amp in the boat is a BOSS, not the greatest but the best I can tell it would be adequate if we went with the 6.5" Kickers, would definitely get the boot if we went with the REVs. We spend quite a bit of time slaloming on the calm mornings, ar...

The Kicker HLCD really needs the second pair of 6.5" midbass drivers. At that point it can produce both good and balanced sound quality plus project well. So with six pods the Kicker becomes at minimum very competitive with the best pair (two p...

Each one of those amplifiers require a dedicated 4-gauge run. If the run is short then three discrete 4-gauge runs are fine. If the three feeds share a common supply (trunk line) then the common supply needs to be much larger, or 1-gauge minimum c...

Any elevated tower speaker in a small pod should be run in the highpass mode. No exceptions. Even with a speaker as large as a 10-inch. For a multitude of reasons a tower speaker cannot reproduce very low frequencies. Trying to make it do so via r...
