Jordan you want an 09 vlx do a search and you will find the review with pics. the wave is supper nice. keep inmind nothing will ever compare to an enzo. so if the enzo wave is your goal go buy an enzo. personaly ill give up a little wave for the malibu.

No offense to anyone but I hate the pictures of the wave all sunk down taken off the swim platform angled up. I think they should all be taken from the sun pad no tricks. Don't get me wrong I've taken my share of them from there too but as a true judge of the wave it's gotta be from the sun pad.

my 210 does the job pretty well. 3000 pounds of bags/hardtanks + around 1000 pounds in body weight+gear = big enough for anyone.

Hate - the quality of the wave is just as improtant what Greg and I show is a long clean pocket with 2 different boats. Any boat can make a wave but you need size (23-24') and weight to get a long clean face. One of the wakesurf turnys used Epics and although it is a 23' boat the wave was tall but the pocket (sweet spot) was short and very abrubt. Like with anything personal choice will take the day but Jordan was compairing 2 boat brands and I have experance with Malibu.

My Avy works well. 1.2k ballest, 3 adults, 4 kids. I am 6.2 250# for wave size reference. T

Bryan, I still think Greg's from the boat look longer and more impressive as well as represent more accurately the wakes potential energy.

Was on a 2008 Malibu 23LSV last week. Two 350's in the left rear storage locker, left rear tank full, belly tank full, 400lbs of pop bags in the side and bow, wedge up out of the water. Wave was nice and clean, easy to surf 10' behind the boat with just a driver and passenger.

a couple weeks ago i surfed behind a 2006 VLX with port ballast filled, 565 in port locker, 450 on the back port side seat, middle ballast full, power wedge 3/4 down and about 7 people and the wake was absolutely bonkers... of course not an "enzo" size wave but big enough to push all 215 pounds of me on a 4'4 coex without a problem.

Why dont you want an Enzo (Size, brand, etc)? If you are looking for the best wave on a 22ft boat, I think it is an Avy. Properly set up, it produces a wave as big as any boat not called Enzo (even boats 2 ft longer)

Jordan, Since all but one or two of the posts hijacked and didn't answer your questions I will. Yes, you can get a killer surf wake out of an 08 VLX. I have one and I have multiple pictures but they are on another computer so I will try to post them later or you can email/pm me and I will send some to you. I typically run surfside, center and bow MLS full. Another 900 or 750 in the surfside locker, a 540 on the surfside seat, 350 in the bow with wedge at 10-12 o'clock and drive about 10.0-10.6 mph. PS. This set up gets my rub rail about 2-3" from the water and throws a clean waist high wake.

Supreme V220 - Loaded up one side back to front get a nice long wake... short if you only load up the back... Nice clean face for spins and shoveits. VLX - Same thing... load up some weight in the front... makes for a nice long pocket. X-Star - Don't really like it unless doing a constant turn... I don't like riding in the turn. Supreme V226 - Crazy big and easy to make a nice wake... such a deep Vee at the back end makes for a wonderful surfing boat. ENZO.. same idea... This boat is much like an ENZO but the interior space of a 247LSV... and the look of a TomCat/X-Star EPIC - Stomped my first 3 behind the prototype, should have added some more weight to the front, as the back foot always had an aggressive curl hitting back foot which slowed me down at times. Bigger Tiges... 24V and Z4 - Produce nice surf wakes... but need lots of weight. Supras are nice too. Havent been behind a SAN. Or MB. Most times... speed between 9.8 - 11.3 mph Rides... Inland Surfer 4Skim Moss Inland Surfer Sweet Spot Inland Surfer Yellow Loogie Inland Surfer Red Tide Phase Five Oogle

I hear the Centurion's make an unbelievable surf wake. I really enjoy my 24SSV surf wake, but I hear it's no comparison to the Centurion. I unfortunately do not remember the model.

Cody... just for kicks.. try riding behind the new supreme v226... More vee than the Enzo... and the Enzo has an amazing surf wake... the V226 will be the same if not better and require less weight I imagine

thanks for the help guys... i'm lake testing a vlx this weekend. we had a bad experience testing the new enzo 230 surf boat... sweet wave but for a band new boat there was alarms going off and sensors already shot ect. ect. The local dealer wanted a deposit that day, he didnt think it was a big deal and he didn't know what was wrong! lol I think I also would have liked the boat better if it had the dts throttle on it. I want a loaded boat! But i want a boat that can throw a big wave with only a driver in it.

Dealer support is a huge part. I would have walked away too. The 10' Centurions do have dts throttle. If you want a loaded boat with minimal crew I would look at the bigger Tige, the B52 with awesome quick ballast gates, or bigger Bu. Forgot that actually my first choice would be Sanger if they are in your area. Very similar to the Avy. We've surfed a VLX with wedge several times and very nice, but my Avalanche is much bigger and the Enzo is better than all. If you like the Bu, check it's big brother the LSV.

jordan, Martin's lake is about 20 minutes south of shell lake, 15 min north of blaine lake on the #12... small little lake and it's full of wally tubers, but a nice lake and only 1 hour from my doorstep in saskatoon loon lake is nice, used to go fishing there when i was a kid! good luck on the boat search man, these are all deadly boats... if you are looking for a SAN we have a dealership in Saskatoon, Bob Porat Nautiques.

Jordan, Just keep in mind the bigger the boat the more weight you need to get the hull in the water. Getting a big surf wake is all about displacement.
