Got a good quote on a wrap for my boat. Moomba offers a 'liquid force' edition, but not a ronix edition - so I just sketched one up on mspaint. Heres a couple before and after likenesses, the finished product will look much nicer i'm sure, but I'd like some input on how the basic sketch looks to others, aka if it's fugly, let me know and I may try to come up with something else, it's basic but I think it looks good personally. Hell I've seen worse for sure Before After

Why do you want to represent Ronix so bad? Are you affiliated with them?

No kidding. Why not do something thats your own thing. Something unique that not every other rider has.

nope, I just use their gear. And love the logo too or I wouldn't consider sticking it on the boat. that's all.

bill, if I did a nicer design other than just stickers they can slap on the boat, it'll cost WAY more. Its basic, and stays within budget, and there's not another boat on any lake I go to that looks like that

Ronix would probably pay some pretty big bucks to get that kind of advertising..maybe you should see if they'll spring for it.

The logo on the rear looks good and those who know Ronix willl know the logo. I personally think that having it written on the side is too much.

right on bill, i'm liking the clean look better, what the graphics guy and I are talking about doing is a plain black side wrap and adding the stickers, so this would actually cost even less, and gives it a clean look, imo. thx murphy.

My first deck was an Obrien, then Neptune, 2 different Hyperlites, LF, and now Slinghshot. Kids ride CWB and LF. I may be leaving one or 2 out? Point being that you may dig Ronix now, but may want to switch it up down the road.

murphy, if I go with this idea, will surely post the finished product. and thanks for your advice. atthelake, if/when I change gear, I can peel off the ronix logo. it's not "IN" the wrap, it would be on top of it as a regular sticker logo.

Yeah that looks cool especially if you do matte black with the logo. Matte against that bright green would loook great and mute the brightness a little.

Thx for the input pete, but keep in mind, the wrap i'm getting is just a plain black wrap to change the look of the boat, the ronix sticker is just a sticker, What I'm mainly doing here is giving myself a shiny black hull (you can appreciate that) and it needs something else, but I don't like any of the moomba graphics, and I have two ronix boards that i'm very happy with, so I figured why not a ronix logo. Give em a little free advertisement. I could always peel the logo off later if I needed to.

If they don't pay you for advertising, don't put it on there. And don't play that 12 year old middle school boy crap "because no one else on my lake has done it". That's not a valid excuse no matter what you're talking about. The first one looks okay, but the Mobius part looks out of place. Try some kind of design without someone's name on it.

I don't get the "if they don't pay you, don't do it" argument. If the guy likes the look of it, why not? Nobody pays me when I wear a shirt with Hurley written on it - what's the difference? For the original OP...I like it with just the decal in the back. Nice color combo. For the record, I do like the Mobius graphics too. That's the one we are looking at for an LSV.

thx taft, and right on, I like the logo, i use the gear, it's goin on there. It'll look sick when it's done. And yeah i think i'm gonna do just the square one on the back and the rest gloss black like in the 3rd image. thanks for the input guys.

I'm of the opinion just remove your factory decals and put the Ronix decals on the factory. I have a feeling that black vinyl wrap is going to take a beating and show every little ding or nick you may get. I have seen the Original MC "Bonecrusher" wrap they came out with that had some black vinyl and that got tore up on 6months on a school/demo boat. The gelcoat takes way more of a beating a shine/gleams/glosses way more if you ask me. I am of the classic boat look as well(see profile). Not much of a fan of all these tribal graphics and wraps. All my boats have been mostly white with some sort of color accent. My dream color combo was actually an all white 04-05 SAN with a lime green stripe. Buddy had one on his showroom floor that he ordered. WAS SICK! Maybe I am just old and boring. (Message edited by xstarrider on July 21, 2009)

Swatguy, I WANT the wrap to take every little ding or nick, that's the idea. In three seasons, when I peel off the wrap for a new one, I'll still have new gelcoat under there if i want to go back to the factory graphics. Besides that, the way I use my boat, it doesn't get scratched. It stays in a garage until we pull it to the lake, then we launch and we don't beach it, dock it, or tie it to someone elses boat, no way for it to get scratched up really, just goes back on the trailer at the end of the day and back to storage until next weekend.

Then why are you wanting the wrap to take every little ding or nick? Frankly I don't think you need or want to hear what every here thinks. You have your mind set already so make it happen. Why ask our opinion if you don't care what we think?

Bill, I do care or I wouldn't ask opinions of anyone. But what I originally asked is if it was ugly or not, no questions about sponsors or function of the wrap. My comment about the dings and nicks meant, I'd rather the wrap get scratched and messed up, than bare gelcoat. Thanks for your input, I do appreciate it.

Thx man, I like it too, it's basic and changes the overall look of the boat, which is what I was after. I bought the boat off the lot, not ordered, so this is what it would have looked like if I had ordered, plus some ghosted Ronix logos.

Dale, 1st, it wasn't a lot of money, 2nd the boat was green and now it's black, that's what I wanted and the wrap achieved that, and you can see that from a mile away. The ghosted ronix logos are just something neat we threw in there, didn't cost a cent more, so I figured why not.

Thx guys, and yeah DB, the orig ronix idea was just a little too crazy, when I actually gave it five mins of thought i realized I just wanted to change the look of the boat to a different 'stock' appearance with maybe a little extra kick. This fixed it, and I'm happy with it.

Thanks man, Pro signs & graphics in hot springs AR ( www.ProSignsAndGraphics.com) did the wrap, mine's pretty basic but they can do just about anything you'd want. Not sure of the model of printer.. Looked like a cad plotter kinda, like wider than 50in. I'm sure if you called em and told em you saw one of their wraps on WW and were wondering about the printer they'd tell you the model for sure.
