To all: thanks for the kind thoughts and good wishes, I'll pass them on to him. Chris ruptured the patella tendon in his right knee sunday morning and had surgery today. He was in good hands with the Palo Alto Sports medicine group and his doctor said everything went back together just fine. He sees no reason Chris couldn't be back to 100% with proper rehab by late spring. If there is any silver lining in this it's that he's had patella tendonitis in that knee for the last year and a half and was probably headed for at least a scope and some rehab anyway. He was basically going to wait until after the Reno tour stop to pursue that treatment. The doc said that condition should be gone after the surgery heals so at least that's out of the way. I can tell you in spite of this he's no where near ready to give it up!
