What is the stock ballast weight on them? Does the cruise control work well? Has anyone added ballast and if so how does it work with the ballast info on the digital screen?

My buddy has a 08. I would go with Perfect Pass and not the MC cruise. I believe the stock ballast on them is 900 lbs and my buddy has added the fly high kit but you do not get a reading for the additional sacks on the vdig.

An 08' should come standard with Perfect Pass, it works awesome and I second adding the fly hi ballast kit, course we add ballast to everything we ride!

My 08 came with Perfect Pass and I was told stock ballast was around 900 lbs also. I did add the fly high kit and love it. I have valves so i can fill the fly high and stock seperate. I fill the fly high and then use the stock to adjust and clean the wake and I can look on the vdig to know where I have more weight at, works great for me.

The fly high valves seems like a lot of unnecessary trouble to me. Why not just plumb the sacs into the overflow of the stock system?

What speed and line length do you guys ride at? With the stock and fly high system full and 8 people in the boat, we had a lot of trouble getting a clean wake at 70ft and 24mph.

Stock ballast on a 2008 is not near 900 lbs. 2009 they increased the size of the rear ballast tanks, so it could be around 900 or more, but not 2008 or earlier!

Why does Mastercraft not list the ballast weight like every other Mfg? You cant get a straight answer at the dealer either. Its frustrating.

My 2008 x2 ballast takes roughly 2 minutes to fill up the factory ballast tanks. The pumps at best pump 10 gpm so 3 pumps at 10 gpm for 2 min = 60 gallons of water so 480 lbs or roughly 500 lbs. I would agree with 550 but there is no way it is 900 on an 2008 x2

FYI - X2 08' & 09' stock ballast is 550lbs - 150 in each rear - 250 center. I added X2 Fly High in each rear locker @ 420 each and a 375 down the center walkway. 1765 total, wake is killer, not an Xstar but pretty darn good.
