Turned my rear ski storage locker into a ice chest, It's so sweet! Anyway I want to buy a liftgate shock for it to stay open while you search for the perfect beverage. The problem Is I can't find the mounts for them. They are a-framed shaped and are about 1-2-3" tall with the mounting ball on it. Where can I find them locally (Dallas). I have shopped pepboys, autozone, oriley's and overtons. HELP?

This site lists a lot of the gas lift supports I've seen the gas lift supports at Napa auto parts stores. I don't see the brackets on their site, but have seen them in the store. I've also bought them at Autozone. Their website makes you enter the year & model of vehicle though so I don't have a link to send.

Hey Nacho! No not yet. My semi-new business has taken off and I have been to buzy. BUT! I have started working on getting the pimping done in the next week or two. Just finished off putting led's in the ice chest and finished the (grey)garage floor epoxy coating inside (with sprinkels)and sealed it off to hold water. Buying a 4-blade and a flying high 750 for under the rear seat. I'll try and post some pics. Nacho did you finish yours? And murph, check out the pics and call me if you need. I have the set up you need to see.Jet

Yes, i did. The intake was the last step of 3 upgrades, but in talking with several speed shops and folks who had done lots of upgrades, it seems like a no-brainer for folks running a little weight with a 351w powerplant. IIRC, the stock intake was more restrictive than the undersize heads on this engine. I popped a dual plane big runner intake on and it pulls like a champ. Lots of low end torque. Of course, thats not all from the new intake, but it lets it flow a lot more air/gas. As easy as the intake is, anyone planning on keeping their boat would be crazy not to upgrade the intake. A few things to take off, all of which is really easy: carb, spacer, coil, dizzy. Maybe loosen the alt bracket as well. Only booger is setting the timing and thats pretty damn easy too.

Nice! If it were mine, I'd put a divider in the cooler. Looks huge from the pics. Keeping a case or two cold wouldn't be an issue, but keeping a six pack cold would be. You'll pry need some way to secure the lids while towing. Maybe a clip or something for underneath or you could try to find those fancy ones that fold flat. The cooler is a good idea, i may have to work on that for my boat.
