My knee has been really unstable lately and I would like to have another doc look at it. I feel that the doc the did both of my last two surgeries is good but I would like to have some one new take a look.
Yep 6 solid months of PT twice a week. See the problem is my instability doesn't come from an MCL or an ACL (so I have been told, that's why I want to see another doc) my doc has said that both of those are fine. My meniscus is shot but hasn't been much of a problem until recently. I am worried that the meniscus is getting worse or I have recently torn something.
I would love to strengthen it but with out my brace I don't have any confidence in my knee. I know part of the problem is that I am currently exceeding the weight limit on my knee but I can work out very hard with my knee the way it is right now.
Al, I'm kind of in the same boat as you (literally sometimes...lo). My ligaments are great but my meniscus is noot great and i had a lateral tibial plateau.
I was very pleased with the surgeon who did my knee and I still go in for check ups from time to time.
His name is Kenneth Venos and he is also part of Tri Valley Orthopedic but he based in San Ramon and P-Town.
King is actually with the majors now. Ting does the sharks still. Ting isn't in my network (damn Ins) so I'm gonna see what King says first then I might go see Ting. I know that BG is happy with his.
