I live in Kelowna B.C. where Svfara boats are built and heard this the other day.
"Another Okanagan manufacturing company may be closing its doors.
Sources tell Castanet that Svfara Marinas Inc. in Kelowna has shut down.
The company, located on Jim Bailey Crescent, manufactures high-end performance boats and other fiberglass products.
Sources say that employees arrived for work Tuesday morning only to be told that the company will no longer be manufacturing boats at that location.
Employees were allegedly given their final paycheques and told to leave the premises.
It is believed between 20 and 30 people work for Svfara.
The company could not be reached for comment."
