hey guys i know we have talked about this before but what speed, rope lenth, wakeplate % and weight setup is everybody going with now that you all have had a season or two to dial in your wakes.also you guys that are putting lead under your center bag how thick is it and does it help you get more water in the front bag.
speed 22.6
rope 70
wakeplate 50%
1150 up front
750 in rear
400 pounds of lead spread between middle to front
the reason i ask is my buddy has an xstar(3000#) and we switch back and forth from boat to boat.the wakes are pretty close we've got his ass heavy so its steaper and i'm trying to mellow mine out just a bit so that we meet in the middle but right now they are pretty close. his boat has alittle bit more tranny but mine has alittle bit more pop so as much info as possible would be helpful.

^^^^ something doesnt' add up...no way are you running that much weight and only riding at 22.6 at 70 feet, and with 3000#'s in an x-star the wake is much bigger than the SSV's. I ride an 07 SSV and and 05 x-star...two totally differnt wakes.

FYI, I run a tad less in the SSV and I'm running around 24.5 ( GPS'd) at 75-80 feet just to keep it clean.

SAM MY BUDDIES XSTAR IS AN 05 TOO BOTH BOATS ARE GPS'D WITH THE SAME GPS UNIT I RUN AT 22.6 AND HE RUNS AT 22.7 WE ARE RUNNING A 65 FOOT ROPE LENGHT RIGHT NOW SO THAT IS WHY IT STAYS CLEAN AND HIS DOES HAVE A LITTLE BIT MORE SIZE AND TRANNY BUT NOT THAT MUCH AND I AM RUNNING THE 750# FLY HIGH'S IN THE REAR NOT A TOTAL OF 750# IN THE REAR SORRY.

when i was running the 22 we did
1150 up front
300 lead scattered up front (mostly under the bag)
650 in each of the rears
70'-75' line length
24+ mph
A little sensitive side to side, but easily adjusted once you get used to it.

same as diggs in my 08 22ssv. some days we add an extra 700 infront of the back seat.

I run similar, 1150 up front (can't fill all the way) , and v-drive sacs in the rear ( filled to the seams...maybe 450 per bag) plate at 50% , 24.6, 75-80 feet. I'll throw another v-drive sac on the rear seat every once in a while.

I'm with Sam, if I ran 22.6 my wake would wash very bad, and the boat would not hold speed.

I just broke the 200 hour mark on my 07.

diggs how much space does that lead take up under the front bag and do you get any less water in that bag.
sorry sam caps were locked.

We have GPS'd my buddies 08 22 and he and I both ride 70 feet @ 22.6 and 50% plate. Sometimes I will even drop down as low as 22 with a little less plate. He has 1100 in bow plus 400 lbs of lead under the back and 2 750's in the rear filled about 3/4 or more.

I meant 400 lbs of lead under the front bag

I have weighted mine 50/50 with all the extra weight. The 22 has a phenomenal wake with just the stock bags (Gravity). To put it on steroids I added 1100 additional split between the front and the rear. I also keep 3-4 pop bags to toss around in the boat to clean it up side to side.

See this face Thats a my happy face on Neuro Fuel when Bernie stomps a T/S 720 behind a 22SSV.

on the some of the 07's the paddle wheel jig got moved 2 inches so the boat would not hold speed very good.thats what happend to mine an they fixed it now it works great,it was twice as hard to play with the wake with that problem.

^^^Mine was moved and still doesn't hold speed very well. My PP settings are where they need to be. It's still a paddlewheel problem ( I still get huge speed fluctuations in turns--my speedo flutters bad).

FYI, just recently the screws holding my wakeplate fell out...they are losely threaded into the hydraulic pistons.
