Its time for me to start planning a good cleaning on the hull. My buddy (on accident) let his board hit the side of my boat today when some wally's came with-in 25ft of us and through us some rollers when we were right beside him taking the camera from him. (great pics) Its not deep gashes but should I just wait til I wet sand it this winter with 2500-2300 grit and than I have done wet sanding on cars but after I wet sand it what compound should I use to follow it up before I wax it? Or should I even not wet sand it and use a clay bar?

Winter projects already planned it repair all rock chips on the trailer, re-carpet the trailer bunks, inside LED side lights on the trailer, and install bimini higher.

3M Finisse It to return shine after rubbing compound or wet sanding. It will remove some light scratches. I would use 3M Rubbing Compound before wetsanding. If you have a low speed buffer it will make the job much easier.

Thanks George. What about the small barely finger nail catching scrathes?

A buffer with rubbing compound will remove those scratches. Much easier than wet sanding imo.
