Sorry I can't remember the model number but its the only Clarion Marine deck that is water proof, (the big ugly one you see on all the new boats) My question is I have a direct connect and I also have a head phone hook up option so I operate the Ipod through the ipod its self and not the clarion stereo. I can figure out how to use the direct option but how do I use the aux option. Everything is hooked up right, I'm not sure what setting I need it on though. Hopefully I didn't confuse the heck out of you. Thanks guys

I had to reread it a few times to understand what I think your asking. First, Clarion CMD5, 4A or 4. If I understand your question correctly the aux setting well let you operate the ipod using the ipod's wheel via the cord/earbud.
If you use a cca-ipod, which only works for the CMD5's, then you press the source button on the remote or the ipod button till you read Ipod on the CMD5 HU and then the HU controls the ipod, you won't be able to change anything using the ipod in this config.

I have both now but the picture does not show the CCA-Ipod. I need to read the handbook and learn how to roll through the menu's using the cca-ipod adapter, but the MA-aux2 is faster and easier to use. It just does'nt charge the ipod like the cca does.
