My son got most of the pro rider autographs on his Ronix ONE wakeboard, while at PWT. He wants to ride it, but were concerned about the autographs wearing off.

Any ideas about what we can apply to the board/autographs to keep them on permanently??

I would appreciate any good suggestions.

put clear packing tape over it. But so the tape doesn't take it off. Put a piece upside down over the ink and then tape that down making like a very thin bubble. Hope that makes sense.

Yea theres a clear spray that you put over something you spray paint to make sure it doesn't wear, it makes it shiny... ... don't kow what its called though...

Clear 3M tape would work too. The transom shield tape I mean.

It would be on there forever.

Packing tape would eventually look bad after water and sun. I would suggest cleaning the board the best you could (with out messing the autographs) and then clear coat it with some clear coat spray paint. I would test out the spray some where on the side or bottom of the board first, but I can;t imagine it hurting anything or looking bad? Just my two cents.

Make sure its flat when you spray it. It might make the ink run if it gets heavy. Just a possibility.

What is it signed with?? Sharpie....spray super light coats of clear (about 4-6) Paint pen....spray light coats of clear (2-4)... & re-spray when it starts chipping off (remember you are trying to make paint stick to a glossy surface.....won't last if you still ride the board, so re-apply as needed.....

I have sprayed 2 ways do...depends on how you want it to look.... you can tape off around the signature & get a boxed look...or just spray & let the clear "fade" onto the top of the board....
