Well, my wife and I bit the bullet and picked up a 2007 Malibu VTX. After a very long weekend of traveling and figuring out all the details, we happily drove it home last night. Just wanted to share my stoke.

Very nice. And I do nsee Titan spinners!! Is that moonbeam? It looks nice and clean. Just some heads up from experience, watch out for those side guides on that trailer. If you can switch to the PVC, I would.

Thanks Ryan. Yeah, it is moonbeam and white. I do plan on switching to the PVC. Any advice on the easiest way to do so? I also need to figure out how to get it in my garage. Hopefully my NVS Addictions will get installed soon too. I feel like I have so much to learn about this boat.

mounting the speakers on the center bar or in the "factory" mounts? If you use the factory mounts, I would roll with wetsounds unless NVS has changed the mounts. Last time I saw them, they weren't quite as clean as Wetsounds. Liquid Trends is also coming out with a horn driven speaker very soon for the factory mounts. As far as the side guides, most any malibu dealer can get them from extreme.

I already have the NVS, and love the sound so I will be sticking with them. I am still trying to decide where to mount them though.

Yeah, I took a hit on the SangAir, but feel like I got a real good deal on the VTX. Tim didn't have any 07 VTXs left though.

Nope but I know he has plenty of VLXs. As long as you are happy is what matters.

I took a good look at the VLXs, but didn't want to spend the extra cash. Plus, the wife really wanted the VTX due to size and weight. We were pretty limited due to wanting an 07, and got lucky finding the colors we ended up with.

Nice boat, love the color, but did you need that optional 30ft light pole mounted in the middle of the boat?

Very nice! I had the older trailer guides, to be honest I ready don't miss them at all. The extreme trailer loads so much easier than the STB. Bullet speakers look sweet on the Malibus

I was talking about the light pole in the background. The angle of the pic makes it look like its in the boat.

My bad Billy. I was just assuming you were giving me crap for buying anything other than a Mastercraft. I was also trying to be a little sarcastic.
