What is the best food you take on the boat for snacking. We like cold pickles. Refreshing, crisp and juicy.

NO CHEESY POOFS, CHEETOS, DORITOS or RED Drinks. Bad for carpet! Frozen Grapes are good.

sub sandwiches (safeway), natural cheetos (don't stain and taste way better), snyders pretzel rods, gatorade, beer... pickles are good, but alone don'e have calories (fuel) for wakeboarding!

anything goes for me, when i have a boat anywase. some people i know are super anal about their boat. somewhat understandable when you spend 60+ grand on a boat but if you you clean up properly no bubbles no troubles. i was out one day and my daughter spilled a bag of munchems on my friends boat. he immediately stopped the boat while pulling a rider and pulled out a vacume and cleaned up for about 15 minutes. a little anal for me. that was the last time i was on his boat (Message edited by westsidarider on September 11, 2007)

lets see here: snickers, ice cream sandwich, cheeto's, a nice greasy burger and fries, doritto's, lots of candy, pork rhins, anything sticky and sweet. lots of chocolate, red gatorade, grahm crackers, pizza, etc....... for all of you that know me, know im J.K. your lucky to get anything on my boat that might leave a crumb. my bro smuggled pringles the other day, i made him eat the whole can on the dock our he couldnt ride. but lots and lots of budweiser is ok. or coors light.

Ever heard of a Vacuum...? (My carpets also snap out and go in the gentle cycle of the washing machine!) I bring 10-12 peeps out on the weekends and 4-6 for board sessions. Beer & water in one cooler and deli meat, fruit, cheese, and snickers in the 2nd cooler! Chips...bring 'em! Some peeps are just too anal, ITS A BOAT ITS SUPPOSED TO BE FUN!!!}

Our cooler is usually stocked with Coors Light, RC Cola, Diet Dr Pepper, plenty of bottled water, some sort of juice (usually apple), Lunchables and some sort of fruit or fruit snack. I also might have some Gatorade or stirng cheese on board. With those items, I get minimal complaint from the wife and kids so our day lasts a lot longer.

"What is with all the piss water beer drinkers ?" You tell me. You're the one drinking Red Stripe. I have a large list of beers I enjoy but out on the lake I have a strict no glass policy. That leaves us with canned beer. Coors Light is my favorite beer in a can. On days when I don't have a reliable cooler available, I'll switch to MGD because it tastes better warm. If I did allow glass on the boat, I'd still not be taking the likes of Fat Tire or Red Stripe out with me. In that case, I'd take a nice Hefeweizen, Weiss, or Oktoberfest. Nothing like a nice lighter wheat beer on a hot day. Now I do have a homemade Hefeweizen that I'll take out with me on occasion but my plastic tub that acts as a cooler for my 5 gal keg was converted to a makeshift outdrive repair station recently (stupid Mercruiser impeller...) so I have no way to keep my keg cool. It's also kind of a hassle hauling all that onboard but a 5 gal keg, CO2 tank, and tons of ice in a large bucket make for the coolest ballast system I've ever seen.

"You're crazy Fat Tire is F-ing Amazing in fact all the New Belgium beers are awesome" I never said they weren't. I just don't want one in 100F+ temperatures. I believe it's Red Stripe I gave you heck over and stand behind my opinion that it's massively overhyped swill. Much like Lone Star, people only like it because they try really hard to like it. You can knock the American lagers and pilsners all you want but they have their place and a hot day at the lake is one of them.

ok I get what you're saying and yes Red Stripe is the most overrated out of all the expensive beers but the Lady likes it so I stock up on it . . . And I just keep lots and lots of ice in the boat so I usually don't have to worry about drinking hot beer

I normally bring along Pacifico, Gatorade, water, red vines, jerky, frosted animal cookies, and Doritos. We usually stop for lunch somewhere on the water or BBQ back at my buddies house at the end of the day so we only bring snacks on the boat.

I'd choose to go with Robert. You just need to keep the frosted animal cookies in the cooler. And Jason Callen, I've had much worse than munchems spilled on my boat by more than one of ours or neighbor kids. Thats no reason to stop the boat. Your friend needs to learn to chill and enjoy his boat. Oh, and we bring jerkey, wheat thins, fruit snacks, granola bars, chips, string cheese, fancy cheese/pricuito(sp) rolls, fruit, bagles for breakfast, sometimes sandwiches or we stop at UP for lunch, water, capri sun, Corona and Smirnoff Ice (not Zima OnlyInboards ).

With the Jasons on this one. Bring it. I have a real good vacuum in the garage, takes only a few minutes to get anything short of an oil spill out. Also works good just to run the hose over it, wash it down before it dries. All about the fun.

Jason G - just bring some vodka to go with the red koolaid and make sure the sunflower seeds are the shell on type and you can come out on my boat any time. Like TadkleBerry said "All about the fun"!

Keith, We should hook up and share some snacks and some water in the near future. I ride out of Discovery Bay all of the time. My buddy Shawn has a house on Spinnaker, and we ride/BBQ just about every weekend. We used to stop at Union Point for lunch every weekend, but lately we'll just stop to say hi to Gail and have a cocktail or two. It is much more relaxing chilling on my buddy's back deck and BBQing. no piss water here only heinekin or guiness on my boat. You know what they say " the one thing american beer and a boat have in common is that they are both pretty damn close to water" LOL. But my friends bring that fine mexican beer called corona but I won't touch it. LOL

we eat everything on our boat excwpt chocolate....the only thing I hate people to bring is mustard because its so easily dripped but they do it anyways but they squirt over the side of the boat or over a towel...there is no point in being completely anal about food, being out on the water is about relaxing. The only person who makes messes in our boat is my 2 year old neice and I don't think I could ever get mad at her! After all her new favorite saying is "When I get bigger I WAKEBOARD!!!!"

"no piss water here only heinekin... on my boat." <--- That is hilarious, IMO Heineken is the king of the "over-priced piss waters". But to each his own. I usually bring an Odwalla, a gallon of water, some Univera and a Mando (which is basically a man sized/accessorized sandwich).

oh yeah, lays stax make fewer crumbs than pringles IMO, PBJ for kids and premade subs are the easiest, or fried chicken, preferably eaten on platform. Pretzel rods are my new thing. Plenty of H20 in the summer here!

Man, I don't know how you guys have the constitution to eat so much crap and still ride. I suppose the pros are no models of good diet either though. I am blown away when I see my friend down a bunch of pizza sticks, a 32 oz Sprite, and then kill it.
