Since I know nothing about hip-hop, what songs are most popular to listen to while riding? I want to burn a CD, so if you can give me the artist name too that would help. Thanks.

Mac Dre (RIP), Tech N9ne, and Dre Dogg are my favorites here are some more good artists to look up: Zion I Mistah Fab (Son Of a Pimp)--->its a dope album The Frontline J Diggs Messy Marv San Quinn Huslah The Jacka---"The Jack Artist" is hard as hell Balance Big Rich E-40 Turf Talk Dubee aka Sugawolf Baby Beesh (not baby bash, he was way doper back in the day) Yukmouth V.Jones Ya Boy Clyde Carson (as well as the rest of The Team) Laroo San Quinn Dem Hoodstars Killa Keise The Pack Too Short ........I'll stop there ....most of my Favs are not really "mainstream" if you want mainstream stuff just turn on that local hip hop station and Im sure you will find plenty of songs with the artist T-pain in them...

^ AGREED. Atmosphere is awesome. So, chris do you play Necro over the tower speakers. I think every boat on the lake would be a little upset if they hear "The hump off" while their kids are tubing

I love bagging Necro or anything from Non Phixion over the tower speakers, another good one is that Luda Track where they chant "F-you" over and over again. I have people on my lake come up to me and tell me to turn it down cause there kids are outside. I just turn the radio up and act like I cant hear them. Needless to say most people on my lake hate me. Mainly because our wake is so big.

I am a big Wu-Tang fan, and I just got a new cd that is so sick, Its by Guru and it's called Jazzmatazz Vol.4 the Hiphop Jazz Messenger. Also check out 7L&Esoteric, Apathy, Snowgoons, Cunninglynguists, Atmosphere, and Dilated Peoples. Those are some of my favorites, and these are not the stupid rappers that talk about ice and all that, it's a bit more intelligent.

Andy, great list of artists. That should keep me busy on Limewire for weeks, but I'm curious about the attitude? If somebody actually comes up to you on the lake and asks you nicely to turn down the expletive loaded music because of their kids it seems like the reasonable thing to do, doesn't it? I was out on the Delta last weekend with my kids and a bunch of their High School friends having a great time, privileged to be enjoying all the great stuff we have access to and I noticed my crew giving people that rode past kind of a hard time if they weren't throwin down some hot run or if they came a bit close to us or whatever (and we are nothing special in the riding department). When I called them on it they said it was all in jest, but I thought it was pretty intimidating and not friendly. All of us out there riding have got it so great it just kind of embarrasses me when we aren't more tolerant of others and supportive of our own. I don't know about you but I see the same people on the waters I use time after time. It's a small community and a resource we have to share fairly. Just my 02.

You can buy the Delta Sessions 2 movie which inludes a sick soundtrack of west coast bands that are unsigned and supportive of wakeboarding. DS1 for that matter as well.

I would have to say chris and andy have the best selection. I only saw one person say blackalicious. If you havent listened to them you gotta pick up some of their albums. And as for erics list, I would have to say none of those but Bone are decent and I dont think I would even play them in the boat. Unless you wanna hear about a bunch of west side ridaz talking about slappin a hoe, rollin on dubs, or big body benz with 2 dollars worth of gas. Sorry for the rant, I am done. Anyways andys list is great. My top picks would be Jurassic5, blackalicious, swollen member, and sweatshop union. (Message edited by cbass on August 23, 2007)
