yo i just started wakeboarding like 2 mounths ago and im just starting to get higher in my jumps adding a grab here and there and some 180's when i can land them, im just looking for tips about things that will make me a better rider, things to look when im riding, things to do when im jumping anything will help. thanks alot guys.
my advice....and i'm not a great rider....but i would say to make sure and get your edging technique right and don't start out by hucking your first inverts. i know more than one person...me included...who are trying to destroy their existing muscle memory this summer due to poor technique when we first started riding and inverting. improper edging will make progression very....very....difficult. good luck...and welcome to the addiction!
whats propper edging and what is edging lol im kinda new to all this i just got up went out and got a board and started riding 1 day never learn what everything really was yet.
okay...if you're that new and you really do want to get better, my advice is to go to your local pro shop and buy one of the basic wakeboarding tutorial DVDs....detention...the book....just ask the guys, they'll point you in the right direction.
Definitely get the fundamentals down; Learn proper edging- (progressive edge - edging all the way through the wake- and proper loading). Toe side jumps - try everything both heelside and toeside. Switch ride (riding with other foot forward)- always work on this- will help you later on.
