i really like the silver edition, but man that is a lot of money for a 21' boat. It is hot looking though!

I'm not sure where mine was built, but I got a Dorsey trailer with my LSV.

I am sure it will be tough to justify the extra money for so little.

That CORVETTE Edition TANKED and dealers had to give em away. COOL MOTOR COOL IDEA. But not worth the extra money

as long as you can add double digit numbers, then I don't see a problem with limited addition.

I'd ask for every addition to the limited edition. Definitely don't buy a limited addition.

It is a pretty sweet boat. I bet it will hold its value. We should also talk about the x star pwt edition.

Is the extreme trailer better then the dorsey?

Actually if you equip a vlx with the exact same options they are priced within a few thousand dollars. The Limited comes with 8 speakers in the boat all powered by an amp, sub, headunit, 383 HH, metallic gel coat, limited carpet and vinyl: not a big deal but stll cool, and the trailer. The deal with the trailer is you get the full Led light system, 17in wheels with matching undercarriage spare, the 10in wide SS fenders, etc. The boat is fully loaded. The difference in the prices from a regular vlx to the Limited Edition is the fact most people do not order a regular vlx with full stereo HH etc. That is why there seems to be a big difference in price.

Our 06 VLX we got for 62 OTD but silver we saw at the dealers a few weeks ago(his boat) was listed for 69... the only difference is we have the 340 he has the 383... the new billet emblems on the 07, which you can upgrade an older boat to. The color scheme I don't care than much for but whatever. The extreme trailer with extreme wheels is also available, but the silver comes with a full size spare on extreme wheels we got a plain marathon for a spare. see profile for pics

Basically the Vinyl I couldnt tell a difference hardly at all. The trailer and engine are the killers with price. Oh and since the pic tower lights bimini swivel board racks and a samson billit illusion mirror arm have all been put on. pics to come.

I was under the impression that there are options on the Silver Edition VLX that are not available on a standard VLX.... Thus, you could not option out at VLX and make it a Silver Edition.

The main difference is the silver vinyl and carpet and the fact that the Silver Edition vlx has the rear entertainment with two speakers and remote in the rear seat which is only available on the 23 and 247.

I guess to answer the original question. I think that mid 60's may be a great deal on a SE VLX. I am not 100% sure, but think the boat show special was low 70's here....and sold.

I think the only listed price on a SE VLX above is 69K.

That said, I don't plan on ever spending over 50K on a boat I cannot sleep, cook, shower and chit on. So I wouldn't be buying either....

Thank GOD I bought a dingy in '03.......
