I just got home from the Indianapolis boat show...and my dad is stuck between 2002 Xstar and 2007 LSV. The LSV has forward bimini, ballast system, EZ Cruise (RPM-based cruise control..kinda like Perfect Pass but not exactly), has an appearance package(rub rails, pop-up cleats, etc.), transom remote, speakers, hydraulic wake plate, and 4-blade prop
this one is $39,405

the 2002 Xstar is loaded with tower speakers and lights, 12-inch sub, ballast system, 4-blade prop, uhm...i guess thats it but were good friends with the guy from the mastercraft dealer and hed hook me up with a new board, line & handle, new anchors and dock line for my dad...

we got the 2002 Xstar down to $39,500.

so the prices are so close that money is not an issue.

any feedback/experience with either of the boats would be appreciated. thanks

You can buy a new x1 for the low 40s. It is the same boat as the 02 x-star. 5k for a five year newer boat. The x-star should go for around 32k. I don't know what to tell you about the moomba.

I'll just tell ya this...you will be able to get A LOT more out of the x-star wake than the moomba wake. To me, that's the most important part of a wakeboard boat. Just my opinion.

Go MC, but not for that price.

That XStar is sick!! They should take a lot less for it or you would be stupid to pay that much.

I remember this thread. A new post isnt going to change peoples minds.

That MC is over priced. Find a cheaper one to compare then go test drive them both and then you tell us.

I'm on the same page as a couple folks here. A new X-1 is the same boat, couple bucks more. That sounds a bit north of where an 02 should be priced. But I haven't seen the boat and don't know the options. Ultra low hrs and upgraded engine would add some, but that's more than normal

My friend has that exact MC. It is a good wake..just sack it. He always has some minor things to repair but to be expected with a used boat and he has about 400 hrs on it now. Don't discount the 06-07 Moomba LSV wake. I tested it with some Hyperlite riders and it was sick! Read the reviews. The rank it right up there. But if you had to get the MC I agree with these guys, X1. But it will cost you.
