Where are all of you riding at on these 73 degree days that we are having? The river is like an obstacle course of tree branches, reminds me of Frogger, and I hear Lake Folsom is closed? I am dying to get my boat out of the garage for a day even if it's just to sit in it out on the water.

Is the entire lake closed? I thought it was only sections. My boat's getting the interior redone right now so I haven't been able to get out there yet.

No joke, Sean. I was ticked to be out of town last Saturday! With Folsom Point closed, I can only imagine how crazy Granite Bay will be this summer. Assuming we get some rain, of course. I'm planning on a couple weekend trips to the delta until the river clears up.

We rode Folsom on Saturday afternoon (after snowboarding in the morning), and it was AWESOME. The lake was glassed over, and the sun was burning us up. There were a few pieces of debris out there (more than the normal fishing boat or two), but nothing unmanageable. Rode Launch Wakeboarding School's new boat, and the wake was SICK. Days like that make me so anxious for summer...

First time at Folsom on Saturday. Was pretty good before 1 pm. After about 1pm, there was a cajillion boats out at Folsom, including two huge and loud cigarette-type boats, and tons of boat chop. Still found some decent water...fun, but not the favorite lake I've ever been to. Lots of gapers.

Fatsac, I'd think that Browns Ravine would carry the load from Folsom Point rather than Granite Bay as it's closer and easier to get to.

Momma taught me two lessons in life: (1) Speak kindly to strangers; and (2) Never trust a guy on a chatroom with three online names, Scott, KBC, sperbet. I'll keep holding to both of those, buddy.

You're right. For some reason I was thinking of Beal's Point.

I just read in the Sac Bee that they are planning on keeping Folsom open. I may need to try going up to Folsom the next nice day we have. I'm sure the water temp isn't too bad. Wetsuit, drysuit, or bareback.....?

I'll be the first to pass on bareback for at least a month. Post up the next time you head out, Sean. Marc and I have been wanting to ride too. mwood2580@yahoo.com
