Hey all, I am looking to purchase a used boat very soon. I am specifically looking at getting a Supra 21V or a MC 205V Hull but I am looking for information or opinions on the 2005 X2. Since the X1 has come out I have seen some really good deal on these both used and new. The asking price of used 05 X2's generally run slightly below a new X1 and sometimes much more. I have also seen a few used x1's sell or be priced below $39000. What do you guys think these boats are worth? Also, on boattrader.com I was looking at 2002 XStars and some people have these things priced just rediculously high. What's the deal. Are there people out there paying these high prices? I know this is somewhat vague but just wanted some thoughts on the subject.

I just had a buddy sell a 2002 x Star for $39,500. It was in great shape and was decked out like the x-star should be. Keep in mind, the star had most items already on it and a lot of the x-2's and x-1's were sold minus some options when the tried to price point the boat. I think you will find your biggest spread, as always, with what the boat has on/in it and what kind of care it has had. Good luck in finding your boat.

Yeah, I've noticed too that asking prices for 05 and 04 X-2's are impressively high. I did see a fully loaded 05 X-2 with only 20 hrs for sale on boattrader recently. They were asking $39,500 and it sold for $38,500 -- which I think is a great deal on a fantastic boat, considering what other 205V X-2's and X-stars are going for. http://adcache.boattraderonline.com/6/0/5/85444205.htm

See, 39500 for a 2002 is insane when you can get a brand new 06 X1 nicely equipped with a dual axle trailer for around 45K out the door

I didn't purchase the 05 x-2 that I presently own brand new but I have all the paper work for the boat. It was bought for 47.5k. That came with a duel axle trailer, 350hp MCX, black bottom, heater, mirror, stereo with 4 JL speakers, no sub, and tower lights. I checked out the X-1's at the boat show last year and they're not near as nicely done as the 05 X-2's. 47.5 for an 05 x-2 I believe was a very good price as most of them were being sold in the mid 50's. If you can find one for mid 40's I take an 05 over a new X-1 myself. You don't get the warranty which is a down fall and you have to ask yourself how comfortable you'd be with having no warranty. It's a boat and things go wrong with them. The only problems I've had with the 05 is the ballast pump impellers and the fuel pump. Both ended up being covered under the warranty of the boat. I had to bitch a little though... : ) I've been stalling to sell this one for about 4 months and I think I'll end up just buying it from my buddy. I've had 5 boats this year and this is hands down my favorite. When it comes to selling this boat it is by far the easiest boat to sell I've ever had. I could have sold this one 10 times over and it's never had a for sale sign on it. That gotta tell you something about the 205 right there.

That's a sweet boat you got, Colin. I've got pretty much the same boat but in red instead of yellow. I saw that boat on boattrader and thought it was outstanding and a great deal. I'd buy that over an X-1 any day.

The X-1 is the same boat as the 05 X-2's, the 205 hull. If you have a X-1 that is decked out with all options like an X-2, it is pretty much the same boat.

ViperBoy, I see by your profile that you are from Arkansas. Here in TX you will pay 2-5 grand more for that boat loaded with all the normal options than you would in ARK. I went to Wichita, KS to get my 04 X2. Still, you are going to pay well over 40K. I would call Chris at Marine World in Wichita, he may be able to help you out. I'm not related or work for them, I'm just trying to help. They sell a lot of X2's, new and used. Marineworld.com is their site. They did me good.

The hull is the same, but there are a few cosmetic differences between the X-2's and the current X-1's. You can get the X-1's set up like the 05's, but you will spend quite a bit more for the accessories. The $40K price tag on the X-1's are for the stripped down versions. You dont get a radio, swivel board racks, billet alum. accents, and much in the way of color choices. When you start adding these options, the $40K boat is soon in the $50K's range. Either way you go, you are still getting one of the best wakeboard boats of all time.
