Hey guys i just got back from a weeks vaca from a cottage we rented at Robinson Lake in western michigan. Man did I have a blast, we wakeboarded all week. I used a cheap board with velcro ankle straps and the boat was a 23ft gekko. I need your guys opinion for a begginner board. I would like something aggressive that i could get good pop with. Most likely they'll be paired with the cwb torq bindings. Thanks

I would get a CWB Flame or Pure. You can get the Boards in a package deal with the torq binding for about 420 bucks. If you already have the bindings then you can pick up one of the two boards for about 320 bucks.
Hope this helps the flame and the pure are perfect for what you are lookin for.

its tough to beat a Hyperlite motive. Its probably the best selling design of all time. Its great to learn on, but its also a great design for experienced riders. You can replace the center fin with a smaller one as you get better and more confident.

Another vote for the CWB Flame/ Torq combo. Great deal for a great setup.

Any Hyperlite Shaun Murray design... Motive being one of them, is an amazing all around board!

Motive 142- great all around board and you can get them with beginner bindings at most good sporting goods stores for around 200 right now.

I'm pretty new to wakeboarding and I have the shapiro/edge and haven't had any trouble with it. I started on a 2002 byerly and actually like the edge better because it's a lot faster. Also, I just purchased the instructional video waketrix and nearly half of the pros in that vid are riding the sapiro/edge at some point. But like I said I'm a noob so take my advice for what it's worth.

FYI - if you decide on the edge you may want to consider this: http://www.wileyski.com/wakeboards/boards-434.htm

It's an 2003 but cheaper and lighter.
