Looking for any comments on the new Super Air Nautique 220. What's good what not so good. Limited or Team edition. Any pictures and color schemes ets... Waiting to test drive next week. Thanks, Mark

We picked one up on 4/25. I have rode behind it 4 times and counting. Absolutely love the boat. I traded in my much older 210. When you compare the wakes between the 220 and 210 with just stock ballasts the 220 is a bigger wake. As you know, nobody just runs with a stock wake. We used to run about 1500# in the 210. I have yet to start adding to the 220. Everyone in our group has been surprised at how nice the wake is with just stock ballast. But we are getting a little anxious to see what we can turn it into with some more weight. We got a team edition with some extra stuff.

The new 220 has a longer transition, not as abrupt at the top. We had an 03 TE 210 and had an extra 2000lbs of lead. In the new 220, I only have 200lbs in back, 400lbs in the middle and 400lbs in the front. Another real nice thing about this boat is landing in bottom past the second wake before the flats (trouth)it's way easier than the 210, on big wake tricks when you overshoot the second wake and don't make it out into the flats, it's much easier on the knees and all tricks landed in that dreaded area behind the 210. Our boat is Red/Black with a red metalflake tower, and black and red bimini, interior is white with red accent with black piping. I have seen many color combos because I live only an hour away from the factory and this is the best color combo I've seen so far. The interior seating arrangement is awesome, when you have six or seven people riding in the boat and everybody is facing the action without having to rotate their body and necks, doesn't get much better than that.

Wow, Craig she's a beaut! I'm glad Jeff hooked you up properly. It's a shame that it's only you guys on your lake, more people should be able to see that thing! Hope you guys are doing well and enjoy the boat! Chase

Hey Craig, nice new ride!! I hope you are getting lots of use out of it on that sweet backyard of yours. We still haven't been out yet here and I'm sure you are up bathtub temps (it was almost that in March).

Yeah, what a shame you have a private lake all to yourselves. Nice boat.

thanks Craig, sounds like I have the same interior as yours. We have a red-white-red bimini on order. I also have been debating about this winter having the tower painted red.

Don, I love the boat so much better with the tower painted to match the boat. I had it done before I purchased it.

Wow.. great rides! Is the power coated tower a factory option? Malibu dealer warned me not to color gel coat the lower haul? Any comments. Nice custom trailer Don.

South East Correct Craft had the tower power coated for me, you'd have to check with your dealer but I'm sure Correct Craft can have it painted for you. If you trailer your boat, painting the lower hull will show scratches faster due to pulling your boat on and off the trailer. Other than that, I haven't had any problems!

I rode behind the 220 at a boat demo the past weekend. The wake was sick. The interior is amazing as well. I like the hidden trash can!!

one thing that confuses me about the 220 layout is that typically, somone sits somwhere in the middle of the back bench to balance the boat out (at least in a 210, x2..etc. Wouldnt that be more difficult with the center of the back seat pushed forward like that?

No, you would probably just move around in the new location to balance the wake. Either that or have a 50# weight to move about.

Good point. The shift of the weight in my X-2 makes a big difference.

Craig, do you have pictures of the 220 wake on your lake? And how deep is the water there?

On the balancing of the boat... The back bench sits more to the front if it is mounted backwards, but it still works fine to balance the boat. It is even easier because you have the whole width of the bench to work with.
