Thinking about trying my hand and doing some custom graphics on a junk board I got laying around. I was wanting to have some custom Vinyl graphics printed up and put them on the bottom of the board. Then I was assuming I'm gonna need some type of overlayment. Would just a clear gel-coat work? Any suggestions, or would I even need one?
If you're planning on sliding this board, I can't really think of anything durable enough. If you're not planning on sliding, I imagine a mid-grade automotive clear-coat would be sufficient (assuming you're prep work was good).
Thanks Steve. Wasn't planning on sliding it. So that's exactly what I was looking for. But now I'm just trying to figure out how to go about prepping the vinyl graphics.... as the entire bottom will be one big piece of vinyl. I wonder if I even need to put an overlayment of any kind.
