I know the USA is where the majority of people are from on this site but making the US a choice, and then listing Canada as "Other North America"? I am no geography major, but is there any other North America besides the US and Canada? Could have made "Canada" a choice seeing as though that is where I am guessing the second most people on here come from. Sorry for the rant, just my $0.02.

i think like mexico and central america count as "other america." im not saying that lots of poeple from mexico come, it just makes it so they dont have to single out anyone, i mean, so everyone has a choice. i thought canada should have been an option as well, but this is so central america and mexico can have choices, as little people as there are from there on this site.

Wally, an educated comment eh? Actually I have been trunking it since the beginning of May and plan on doing so for another month at least, then time to break out the dry suit eh. Melissa thanks for that, I should have known that one myself, my bad. But as far as listing the US and then following it up with "Other North America"....just does not sit right. Jim.... .

Well, after the USA, "All Others" would've sufficed, IMO.

The whole objective of the question was to break it out by continent and then further break out the U.S. since that's far and away our biggest market. No offense intended to specific countries that weren't listed.

I agree that the US is the biggest market for wakeboarding but that is not because Americans likes it anymore than Canadians do, it's the sheer number of you with the addition of a great climate for the sport, and a good bang for your dollar. Canada has offered and continues to offer a lot in terms of wakeboarding. David, I just think that is the way SOME not all of us Canadians think. We are a little touchy when things like “Other North America” is where we are grouped while the US is always on the list. Thanks Joe, people are also quick to post messages that really have no bearing on what is being asked.

That's Central America. I think part of Mexico is also considered part of CA (south from the tip of the Baja Peninsula).

But if you were splitting it into only North and South America (unless we all of a sudden have 8 continents...) I thought Central America was considered part of North America.

"Central America is the region of North America located between the southern border of Mexico and the northwest border of Colombia, in South America. Some geographers classify Central America as a large isthmus, and in this geographic sense it sometimes includes the portion of Mexico east of the Isthmus of Tehuantepec," http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Central_America

I don't know how anyone can afford to live in the Banana Republic. It must cost a fortune to dress themselves.

lol...I'm sure he knows what a banana republic is. I was just trying to make myself feel better after getting punked. No offense. In the words of Andy Z: "I'm no geologist!"

I think most us wish we'd stop policing the world. Lock ourselves down, worry about the messed up things going on here, take care of our own. The only problem with that, the world would move from "stop the US world police", to "why don't you care about anyone else, you snobs" People don't like us, they never will regardless of policy change. Most are jealous, and want what we have. How many "American Immigrants" do you hear of? Plenty of other countries people come here (including people from good places to live - Canada, england, france, australia), but few of us leave.

I just got back from riding and its about (a-boot) 8:34pm and I didn't think that this thread would have opened a political can of worms. I didn't mean to do this, although for the record, I have chosen "Other North America" for todays poll. At least we can all agree on something, wakeboarding rules, right behind hockey.

This is driving me crazy there are only 7 continents and Central America is not one of them. I have only a ninth grade education, but have to have this argument with the Mexicans who work for me. Everything north of the Columbian and Panamanian border is North America.
