the delta just that.a river delta. 300 miles of waterways from 10 ft wide to 100 ft wide. the beauty is that if you know the waterways you can always find butter with minimal other boats.

The delta is actually Thousands of miles of waterway. There are levies on each side of the river which block the wind and make it ideal for boarding. there is ALWAYS smooth water somewhere. For more info on the delta.... http://www.californiadelta.org/homepage.htm

maybe you should ask the delta expert, teri. like stated above, it's over 1000 miles of waterway in central cal, stretching from south sacramento to south of stockton. yes, there are always butter to be had...one of, if not the best place to ride.

It does have some less than desirable spots but man you gotta love how the levee banks and center divides disapate even the biggest wakes. Even when you tow lined up with several boats in a row the first and last can get the same water ! And how can you complain about the Cali weather when you can use it nearly year round !

The delta yes is an awesome mecca of wakeboarding. I go to college in Stockton... so I am very familar with the area. The delta is soo damn ugly in parts.. not to mention I have been told you have to wonder what also is floating around in the delta. (body parts, dead animals, yeah...) With that said... I stop my rant.

The delta is my all time favorite place to ride. Might not be the best for camping, but you can always find good water. Might not be the prettiest place on earth, but is one of a kind. You can boat from Tracy to Sacramento to San Fransisco on one body of water.

Well for Joe I would definately go with the donkey part of tara's comment, but the verdict is still out on the smart part. That could all change however if joe were to come back up to the sactown area and hang again for posterity sake & not just get lost on his way up in the delta every time

It seems that every year they fish a few bags of limbs in duffel bags outta the Delta. Pretty damn nasty of you ask me, which you didn't. I think on the day that i die i'm gonna take the Chevy to the levy, hopefully the levy won't be dry & I can ride it!

yeah but the rides are falling away, Dustin just had a baby girl in July & I moved to Dublin in June, gotta get a new crew down here to go with, so if anybody wants another rider, I'll be the best boat whore you have ever seen, even better than Joe!
