So my boss caught a video of me wakeboarding and now he has the bug. WHat kind of board should he get? He's 6'2" and weighs about 280. Definitely a beginner.

definitely needs to be more of a beginner board. I guess the biggest issue is whether I should go for an intermediate board that is bigger, like they HL Era, or a beginner board that is not quite as big, like the HL Motive 44.

I hate to see the Motive described as mearly a 'beginner' board. It was Shaun Murray's pro model, Harf rode it as well. I'll describe is more as a board that will take you to a huge blind judge off the double up but that is super forgiving for the 1st time rider!
