I doubt you are pushing them with a mono sub amp?? 600.1 is the class D amp by DA. Which amp are you using?

Jeff those are nothing like polk tower speakers they are just polk grills. Sam its actually the D5 600.2 amp, maybe could do better but they sound good enough for me and everyone else at the party cove and on the lake. Steve, you know my pref with CC but you should check out those VLXs over at paradise

NVS will blow Polk away because they are specifically designed to project sound to the rider and handle a lot of power.

Steve I have been liking the looks of the VTX but I havent heard much about the wake. Are you going to demo one? All white is slick. Jeff, Im pushing 300 watts to each speaker and they can definetly handle atleast 400 watts a speaker, youll at best be pushing 150 watts per speaker with the polks. My buddy has 4 JL VR 6.5s on his tower and they are super loud around the boat and not very clear when riding. With the NVS its not overpowering around the boat but still crisp when riding, youll be looking at spending some more than with those polks however. Rodney what lake do you ride at? I havent seen or heard any other NVS setups around.

Jeff, NVS and Wetsounds are companies that are specifically designing speakers to be heard while wakeboarding. Polk speakers are car audio and will be tough to hear while wakeboarding. That being said, NVS and Wetsounds are also more expensive, but you get what you pay for. They are marine grade speakers that handle a lot of power, and both companies will stand behind their products.

I have a pair of Addictions and they are super nice. I run a PPI PCX4125 bridged to them, so the amp is capable of 500 watts with that setup. I do turn the gains down to about 2/3. That seems to give me as much sound as I want. Extremely clear and loud to the rider.

Agreed...I have the Wetsounds and it was a toss up between them and the NVS.No question these two manufactures are in a league of their own!! Pick either company and you'll be happy~

HSE trident is in the league of NVS and Wetsounds. Each ear is different - but I'll put my twin NVS subs and my HSE trident next to wetsounds and still be very happy with the sounds. NVS, HSE, wetsounds are all great products if you want tunes at rider length. HSE and NVS will send tunes much further than the rider with proper amps
