So the other day I was about to go out boarding and was just uncovering the boat when something I never would've expected happened. I undid the buttons on the back of the boat and then on the side next to the dock, flipped up the corner of the cover to step down onto a seat and then into the boat so I could get to the other side. When I stepped off the seat I stepped right onto the pole that holds the cover up. It had slid down a bit once there was some slack in the cover and I didn't notice. So anyway I heard a huge snap (my girlfriend heard it from the dock and thought I snapped the pole, but it was just my foot). Basically why I'm posting this is because it ruined my day/rest of my summer pretty bad and I don't want this kind of stupid thing to ruin anyone else's season. Just make sure you can see where you're stepping when getting into the boat- it's common sense, but I've never heard of this kind of thing happening before and I never would've expected it.
