Looking to take a 10 day trip to the Delta, and looking to get some input on where is a good place to stay with the wife and kids. I will have a RV + the boat and would like to leave the boat in the water

Tower park is now a koa camp ground and has lots of stuff for the kids, when we go we leave the boat in the water at the docks right below the board shop.

You can park you're rv on the point at orwood and have your own dock. Can't beat that!

Just check Orwood and there booked, This is a last minute vacation change. we where planning to go to Lake Mcclure but I just talked to one of the reps and the lake level is so low (loosing 1 ft a day) that there will be closing the boat launch ramp at horseshoe bend campground. Tower park has some room any input on them or any other suggestions?
Thanks

Tower Park is a great spot to camp with the boat. Like the rest of the Delta, there is alot of good water nearby. The campground at T.P. has been completely renovated over the last year or so. Bathroom/shower facilities are spotless, good wifi, really nice park and playground with activities for kids on the weekends, restaurant and bar with excellent food, board shop, and valet launch from your site.

Now that I will be heading to the delta, I would like to see If I can get some inside tips/Advice on must see's and do's, good places to board and area's to avoid. We love to venture but not to hip on crowds. Also good safety tips, I have much experience driving in a slough environment but I know many other tourist do not.

Kevin...Crash and I will be glad to come up and roll with you from TP and show you a few spots nearby and point some others out on a map. I pass by the marina on the way to my office, and I've been thinking of another weekend trip to TP in the next few weeks anyway.
