My son (KJ) has been wakeboard crazy but was never ready to actually board, he would put on his board and play on the teak deck but that was it. Well for about 2 days in a row he would sneak out into the garage and get his wetsuit and life jacket and say he was ready! So we went out for a realxing day on the water and before we got the boat luanched he was suited up and ready. First run belonged to him but he insisted to ride my board first. Before he realized he had no binding on my board we were in the water. He asked where to put his feet so I told him on my board, he said ok.. Next we were up and crusing at 14.5. We were pushing water but I didn't want to scare him and plus if we crashed I didn't want it to be to bad. The second pic he was mad to stop.. Now everyday he is waking us up wanting to go. He just turned 3 a few months ago. also in the pics is our daughter Cyan (9months)getting her feet wet for the first time. (Message edited by ghostrider_2 on June 24, 2007)

Thanks kenny, nothing big but he wants to do it, and I think the experience will be good for him. he's riding in the Scioto wakefest in columbus ohio on july 8th (mini outlaw divison) should be fun. Yours will be ready sooner than you think, they pick it up so fast!!! enjoy it nice boat by the way!! are those wetsounds speakers?

not yet TY, he knows how to put his on but he's not ready to ride by himself yet (but he thinks he is). Still working on him getting comfortable flipping the board over if he lands face down. (Message edited by ghostrider_2 on June 25, 2007)

This is my little guy. 3 1/2. He now has his own board. I used to ride like that with him in my arms ,now I just put him in the board and ride with my feet on the outer edges. He thinks he is doing the whole thing. We love. Congrats!

Michael, I think with letting him pick out his board last summer, dragging him around the yard, and alsways bringing his board on the boat everytime help to make a difference. His only reason for not trying last summer is that the water here is colder (Washington 55-65) than it was back home (Sacramento 65-79). So the wetsuit played a big part this year. A major thing was if anybody crashed we didn't go "OOOOHHHHH"" the rider would always smile and people in the boat would give praise (if he wasn't on the boat NO PRAISE LOL)

The Board is an 111cm and I weigh 140, kid is 35, so 175 pounds on that board isn't to bad. Consider a wakeskate is only 115cm long. I figured it would take our weight no problem. If you ride a kids 124cm and I ride a 134cmm that is only 4 iches shorter. Worked out great. My buddy rode with his daughter this weekend the same way and he weights 175 and his daughter is 50. The did it too.
