Dallas Friday Looks to Claim Sixth Consecutive National Championship Title this Weekend-

Pro Men Take to the Water Today at the Air Nautique WWA Wakeboard National Championships

Kenosha, Wis.- Dallas Friday, 20, is the most highly decorated female wakeboarder in the world. The Orlando, FL native is a three-time World Champion (03', 04', 06'), four-time X Games Champion (01', 03', 04', 05'), and this weekend she is seeking her sixth consecutive National Championship title at the 2007 Air Nautique WWA Wakeboard National Championships.

Prior to Nationals, Friday has not ridden in any King of Wake events this season due to injury. Many were uncertain how she would perform on her first run of the season, but yesterday she convinced her critics that her injury would not hinder her performance, as she paced all riders in the Pro Women's quarterfinals. Friday has not stopped there, as today she again led all female riders in the Pro Women's division during their semifinals.

"I'm just excited to be back out on the water competing," said Friday. "I am healthy and feeling confident, so I expect to do well this weekend."

Tomorrow Dallas Friday will compete in the Pro Women's Division finals against the three other female riders who advanced past today's semifinals.

In addition to the Pro Women's Division, today the Junior Boys, Boys, and Pro Wakeskate Divisions also competed in their semifinal rounds. Stuart Shinn (Bradenton, FL) led the Pro Wakeskate Division, while Noah Flegel (Lighthouse Point, FL) paced the Jr. Boys Division. Daniel Powers (Orlando, FL) and Cooper Swink (Canyon Lake, CA) both tied as the leaders for the Boy's Division. All divisions will conclude tomorrow during their final rounds.

Today, 70 riders took to the waters of Lake Andrea to compete in the quarterfinals for the Pro Men's Division. Wisconsin native Erik Ruck (Twin Lakes) and 2006 World Champion Andrew Adkison (Orlando, FL) both led their heats today and will proceed to tomorrow's semifinals along with the 18 other riders who advanced past the quarterfinals.

Tomorrow marks the fifth and final day of Nationals. Pro Men and Women's Wakeboarding, along with Jr. Men, Boys, Junior Women, and Junior Boys, as well as Junior Women, and Pro Wakeskate will all ride in their final rounds. Competition will begin at 9:00am.

Congrats to Raequel Hoffman who, by all reports, absolutey killed her run today.

She landed among other things a Crow Mobe and a Moby Dick!!

I may be wrong, but I don't think any other pro woman has landed either of those in a comp., and she landed both. Way to go Raequel!!!
