i have just put a holding deposit on a brand new off the lot 2006 sanger v215 it has scorpion motor 330hp triple ballast, stainles package tandem trailer, perfect pass etc. with all options except a stero and speakers and no tower speakers. is this a good deal on a 2006. the guy selling the boat is the best salesman i have ever dealt with and is making my purchase stress free which i really like just wondering if i'm getting a good deal. thanks

Yeah pretty good deal... but since there is no stereo at all... correct? Maybe they could knock it down even a bit more since 2007 boats arent even new anymore.

I think he could go a little lower than that on a closeout 2006. I'd be shooting for 44K out the door.

44k would be a better deal but i think he has gone as low as he will. i'm just looking for a good deal not trying to steal it. brad what is a comparable 07 going for? i agree though he could go lower i bet.

james where is the location of the boat. I just bought my 06 v215 for 40k and i know of another one that went for 38k. These boats were fully loaded with stereo and everything. Of course these were private party sales, but that price seems high to me.

james this is cheaper than you usually see them for, so something may need some fixing, but check it out http://sfbay.craigslist.org/eby/boa/352023613.html

I've been quoted $47.9 plus fees for a similarly equipped 215

Doesn't sound like a big enough discount for an 06' closeout, just based on my own Sanger watching and boat buying experience.

washington state, but i could go to northern california, idaho, montana, oregon if it saves thousands but would rather just be able to have some bargaining power with dealer vs dealer on a sanger. it seems that it is so hard to get a good deal on a boat in washington all of them are un willing to makea deal here.

This is the same dealer I bought from with the same deal and I am very happy with my decision to use "The Pro Shop" they're an awesome team and I highly recommend them. I think I got a great deal and so are you. James I drove 175 miles one way to get my boat and it was well worth it. Good luck and have fun when u get that bad boy on the water.

I don't think that's such a good deal. Diffrent boat, diffrent market, but I bought my last boat that was a left over from prior year. List without trailer was 54K, I paid 37K with trailer. My Malibu before that was a left over as well. List was 34K, 24K out the door. God boat prices have gone up. I priced the same Sanger you are loking at in 05, loaded and wasn't even close to the price you have. I know two years later, but that still seems high for an 06. There is a guy around wakeworld who works at delta sport boats, and they are great guys and are very competive in pricing. Maybe they can give you some guidance as far as price. It maybe worth a phone calls, price an 07 with dealer up and down the coast. Also some advise, if you chose to listen. I've bought a few boats in my life time, and IMO you are going about it wrong. -You should be looking to steal a boat. Don't feel like you are taking advantage of the dealer. If the deal doesn't work for them, they won't sell it. -Look for the right deal, be ready to pull the trigger. Be ready to close that day. This will help when you negotiate. Dealers like ready buyers. -Don't worry about squaring up finance before hand. Dealers often make money writting the loans. This can help close the deal that is on the fence. My first boat, I wanted to pay cash. The dealer worked out a better deal to finance it, and just asked that I didn't pay off the note for 90 days. I have friends that were given the same situation on boat or RV purchases. -Dealer service is important, and quality people deserve your business. But it's likely that that same quality dealer will service your rig, even if you purchase your boat somewhere else. If you have a dealer you wanna work with and buy your boat from them, give them the last chance on a deal. Tell them what you got lined up, give them the chance to make the same deal. -You have the right idea about looking at new(last year) units still sitting on the lot. Look on boat trader for leads, and even make phone calls to try to find someone with leftover models. -buy a Sanger, you will not regret it. I have never met an angry Sanger owner. I'd almost bought a Sanger twice, but have found amasing deals at the time of purchase. Have a feeling I would have been happy with a Sanger purchase.

Steal a boat when possible!!! I work my A$$ off, overtime, sacrifice, traveling away from family for "the man", etc! Then I waited thru a summer in order to get more boat for my money in the off season, my dealer was great but they were in it for a sale and I was in it for the biggest and best boat for me. That's my $.02 cents on it. Oh and Yeah, I Love my Sanger Too!

Dealers aren't in the business to sit on old age inventory that they have to floor with a bank. Believe me they will do what it takes to get these units off the floor even including loosing a little money to cut their losses. At some point you need to just decide of the price you are paying is something you are happy with. Searching the ends of the earth to find the cheapest possible deal is in the end only going to possibly save you a few buck and what have you really gained? James, if you're happy with the deal and your happy with the boat and the company you are buying it from pull the trigger. Just so you know as I said I paid a very simular price and I know how to negotiate very well as that is what I do for a living. I ran several different angles at them and came up with what I did, so you have done very well for yourself. Trust me these guys have gone above and beyond for me on a few occasions and have really exceeded my expectations on customer service which are very, very high. Again good luck and just have fun with this process because it's suppose to be.

I have heard good things about the pro shop. Done business with them, not a boat but small things. They were very helpful. Just my 2 cents, I would not pay nothing over 42K out the door and thats pushing it.

Talk to Jody at Delta Sport Boats in Antioch, CA. Not sure if he has any V215s left, but if your willing to look at the V230s I know he could make you a killer deal.

i talked to a few dealers and can get a 07 for 43k just the boat and trailer with same options then i have to pay shipping $1500 and taxes and other fees come to $3800. so for the same in an 07 is $48200 compared compared to A 06 for $46500 i think i should pass on the deal becuase the 07 boat price is only 3k more than the 06 what do you guys think. and the 08's will be out in a few months.
