Has anyone ever pulled one of those ice cream balls behind their boat? If so, what did you put it in?

HA! HA! I figured some of you all wouldn't have a clue what I meant! Yes, it's like the one in the link. We thought it'd be fun to pull it behind the boat (gently) and let it mix up the ice cream while we're out. I thought maybe some of you all would have an idea of something we could rig up behind the boat to pull it with. It's a bit heavy and we were trying to think of something we could put it in while dragging it around. By the way, I'm a "she" not a "he"!

Lauri, I am not sure if it floats, but it's made of heavy plastic and it seems to be sealed really well. I guess we'll find out Saturday!

Ok, the experts here say to put it in some kind of fishing net, or a bungie kind of net. They say that you should go fast enough so that it skips across the water and doesn't sink. Oh yeah, I see a couple of these in our future. Maybe we should get a group buy going!

That's kind of the idea we were going for. Our son has one of those nets that holds a soccer ball and you can kick the ball and while you hold the net. (Don't know if that makes sense, basically it's a net!) But he won't let us use it!! Thirteen year olds!! My brother got us this ball for xmas and we thought we'd try it out this weekend. I'll let you know how it works. I can just see the thing flying all over the place! Especially if we have the ballast filled!! Lauri, I checked out your website. Your place looks really nice!

Tim, I am not sure what a dive bag is. Is it like a mesh bag?

Thanks Leigh. If you are in our area, stop in to visit. This thread is really funny timing, we just watched the ad for the ice cream ball last night. I'm suprised that they didn't think of dragging it behind the boat.

Ok, the brilliant minds here have come up with another idea. Put it in a tube. You could pull it all over the lake, and it would bounce and roll around. One of them suggested tying it to a fin hole on someones board and letting them carve in and out. I wouldn't suggest that one.

If you made one big enough to put a person inside of it, that would kick ass!

if youre fascinated with the idea of putting a person in a ball, i think sportsstuff makes somethin like that. its an inflatable ball and you get in it and run around on top of the water like a hamster ball....not sure how well it works or how sturdy it is though

Put a hampster in it and let him run round and round like a Habitrail. If that doesnt work shave the hamster and give it to some Gekko owner.
