Vicious boat theft deterrent... JL 13W7 under the dash. I had to remove the bulkhead for more clearance. 1 300/4, 1 300/2, 2 1000/1's. No heat problems being upside down yet. Now I just need to tidy up the wiring. Stock JL M6450 and a Memphis Audio Cap I had collecting dust. After of course my Lummox of a father broke the bracket. Port side JL 10W6v2 (needs to be resined and covered) Starboard JL with the factory cutout. (Message edited by xaggie on May 21, 2007)

looks good, what are you doing for an alternator? How many speakers total do you have? Is it two 12's?

Finally My dad putting his ProStar back in it's spot. Poor thing got kicked to the curb for the weekend 1 13W7, and 2 10W6v2's only thing running off the stock charging system is the interior JL Components. Everything else is strictly battery.

Matt, The sound system looks kickin!! Can't wait to hear the boat jammin some Pat Green or Roger Creager out on Conroe this summer. Did you ever take it to lakeside and have Josh or Dusty tune it or did you do all the work yourself? I'm lake ready with my crown royal ready to deploy, see you on the water.

That thing must dump! What are those brackets for in between the outermost wetsounds and the inside ones?

Steve I'm ready buddy, we really need to hookup. Lakeside made the box the W7 is in for me and "tuned" the whole thing. I have a feeling it can be tweaked and end up sounding better. Marco I like it so far. The brackets were for my Pro-80's before the MC version came out. I need to take them down.

Looks like you got the golf cart batteries figured out. Who built the box for the batteries? My boat is up at lakeside audio getting a few finishing touches put in.

Thanks Underworld, and yes things ARE bigger here. Adam, the batteries seem to be working perfectly. We've been out with the stereo on for about 6 hours straight and it's performed like a champ. I had one of my dads carpenters build the battery box, it's pretty trick. Let me know if your ever out on Conroe so Steve and I can say hi.

Hey Matt. I am looking at Mastercraft's. What did you pay for yours from the dealer ( pre-stereo)? What was the sticker price? I am trying to figure how much I can negotiate off the sticker price.

"I am trying to figure how much I can negotiate off the sticker price." Offer less. Nice boat. Tell your dad, its easier to drive the boat into the slot than guide it

Nice ride. What are those 2 metal brackets running parallel to your boat on the dock?

Matt - do you live on Conroe? I think I've seen you out there, maybe a couple of weeks ago? I noticed some of the pics you took had the Dam in the background. I'm on the southwest side of the lake, about 10 minutes from the power lines when you head east toward Papa's. It would be cool to hear those JL subs sometime - do you ride during the week ever? Hit me up sometime.

Ross: I basically bought the boat from the factory since they bought back my '04. But believe me you have plenty of room to make it happen. Paul: That would have been too easy, it only took him an extra 15 min to save a $1 of gas... Jonh: Sam is right. The stupid neighborhood association only allows those cheap rounded cloth covers. Any one that is tall enough to fit in with the tower up crumples when the wind blows hard enough. David: My father lives in the first cove to the East(?) of the dam, Longmire. I'm up for riding anytime, I'm finally %100 from ACL reconstruction. Leo: You or anyone from the club up there are more than welcome to come ride anytime. Give me 2 hours notice and I'm game!

Hey Matt, VERY nice set up....must sound amazing. Can you run down how your 4 batterys are wired? I currently have 2 6volt trojans but want to add 2 more. I think I know how they should be wired but I wanted to make sure. Also, what kind of charger are you using? Thanks for the help.

Thanks Johnny. The batteries are wired to 12 volts in series, then together like 2 regular 12V batteries. This link explains it better http://www.ccis.com/home/mnemeth/12volt/12volt.htm Cheers and nice BU

Thank you very much for the link Matt. VERY helpful. I just have a few quick questions (if you don't mind) -What charger are you using? On board or portable? How many amps do you set the charger to charge overnight? Do you charge all 4 at once? If so, what terminals do you connect to? -What gauge wire did you use from the batterys to distribution blocks? Then from distribution to amps? -Did you use any Caps for your sub amps? Sorry for all the questions, thanks for your help. -Johnny
