Is that a light in the back left of the boat, beneath the swim platform? Cool.

Can definately feel the extra weight on the RZ4 compared to my old Wakesetter. I think the RZ4 is going to make that 7.3 diesel work a little harder.

Is the light new or something? My RZ2 has it but so did most of the boats at my dealership, just curious since everyone keeps asking what it is.... Hey does your trailer have the cool LED's that run the inside length of the trailer and come on when you back it into the water (and headlights are on)? I'm dying to check that out on mine.

Hmmm.. I know nothing about Tige boats, but the RZ4 doesn't even show up on their website. Is it that new or do they not update their site? Very nice looking boat!

It's a late edition to the 2007 lineup and some are saying they're even going to start shipping as 2008's (unconfirmed). It is a 24' RZ model. Big difference, besides the extra 2', is a lockable rear facing seat behind the driver which you can see in the 5th picture. Also, cupholders in the bow are above the bow cushion now.

Tige hasn't put the RZ4 on the website because the boat is a 2008. I would think it would be on soon but I don't work for Tige either.

My trailer is an EZ Loader "Illusion" but they seem to copy everything that Extreme does so I figured Extreme must have that as well. LOL!

You should also see what Wetsounds does with their RZ4 when they get it.... The owner's mind is already thinking what he can do and enhance upon the boat that they have for sale. He did say it was going to be sick!!!!!!!! (I got this from another thread and summarized it. So, don't shoot the messenger if it is wrong)

Fosgate Power 6.5" powered by a Fosgate Punch 450.4. Pretty nice for a stock stereo. The guys at Tige AZ know how to do it right.

Jason, Something off the topic, but I have the same excursion, but I can't find a nice wheel package to go with it. Where did you find the wheels on the excursion???? Do you have a brand name? And what size do you have on yours? Thanks!

Chris, Wheels are from Discount Tire. They are 20" MB's. I think the model is named Gunner. The tires are 305/50R20, Falkens. The tires are having tread seperation(Firestone problem) right now because they can't handle the overall load of the Excursion. I am trying to get some new tires through Discount Warranty. I think I want Nitto Terra Graplers

Sick boat. Reminds me of my X-45, the shear size takes some getting used to. Sac it out and lets see some wake shots. Sweet ride, congratulations.

Here is the wake. Conditions - Subpar with tubers. Big lake with lots of undulations in water. Ballast of about 1200 6 people 70 ft rope Wakeboarder is 6'1" 200lb 23 MPH. It felt a little slower more like 21 - 22. Will need to get a GPS out and calibrate it.

That looks like a nice wake for the first time out. Does look like some dialing in needs to be done but not much. Thanks for the pics.

It will need some dialing in. I think for the RZ4, it will favor more weight in the rear or center. Water was difficult today, hard to get dialed in. Forgot in my previous setup post Taps was at 4/5. Going now to tigeowners.com to post same pics. Will do 1040x780 instead of 640x480 over there.

Hey, Jason, just a question. I've researched those Tiges quite a bit, and supposedly the "8" setting on the TAPS throws the biggest wake. However, all the Tige owners say they set their TAPS to 4-6 when boarding. Why is that?

At 8 the wake crashes over and you don't get a good clean lip. Same scenario as if having to much weight in the back and not enough in the front.

Well, I will have another outlook at this. For instance, if TAPS is set at 4/5 and you have 1200 lbs of ballast, then that could be the ideal weight for the boat but if a new boarder starts out, the wake needs to be decrease so you take out some ballast and start at the same TAPS level. During the boarders set, they decide that they would like to have a little bigger weight. You might not have the capability to add more ballast weight but you can definitely change the size of the wake via the TAPS. Now you might have the TAPS at 6 or 7. TAPS helps to dial in a wake and allows the boat's butt to sink into the water to produce a bigger wake. Does this make sense????

Yeah, thanks David B. I've always admired the Tige boats for being a 2-in-1 water sports boat. I know a lot of people on here bash them and proclaim other boats better, but in my family, we both slalom and board, so I've always thought that would be my choice if I somehow kicked over a large stone and found a $50k bill!

Someone please tell me, Is there any difference between Tige's TAPS and Supra's Wakeplate? Tige seems to rave how it can produce both a slalom wake and a wakeboard wake, but Supra only says its used to shape the wakeboard wake. Is it me or did both companies just put a trim tab on and come up with a cool name? PS - I'm not bashing either just wondering if theres really a difference.

Kyle L. I can't comment of the Supra Wakeplate since I have no knowledge of that. The Convex hall and TAPS go together. Both are patented and work together to produce the wake. IMO the TAPS plate and Supra's Wakeplate probably work to help make a wake bigger but do it differently. The TAPS alone does NOT make the wake bigger but as I said, allows the butt to sink into the water more.

Great Boat! The Supra wake plate changes the shape, ramp, peak and size of the wake based on speed and weight in the boat. It gives me the ability to dial in the wake to a rider's preference.

I ride my taps at 8 without the wake getting washy... it just takes more weight in the bow, that also helps to harden the wake. I can also put the taps down to 2 or 3 for friends and the wake is still good, just a bit smaller. That wake looks real good... post some pictures once you get it dialed in and on some good water. congrats.
