Anyone know what a good price is on a trailer for my Air Nautique? I called one place and it was like $3300. Sounds kinda high?

About right for new.

What kind of trailer? What options? For a basic tandem axle it could be $2,500 and then on up to $7,000 + depending on what you get!

That price was for a new painted steel trailer, single axle. Probably a Ramlin just like the one that came with my boat.

I've since found a trailer fabricator who will make me a new aluminum one for $1700. Just a basic one but I'll probably go with him.

I priced one last week for a Nautique and it was around 2800 for a single axle I believe.

MIIIIIKE! What's up buddy, good to see you back on here. What happened to your trailer?

Scott, yea, I'm trying to get back in the swing! The rust has eaten my trailer alive. The frame is bent so bad the boat doesn't sit on it right. Looks like I'm going with the aluminum one this time! One day maybe I can get a house on a lake so I won't need one but for now I'm stuck over here in the salt!!

I hear ya man. That salt is nasty nasty stuff! You're welcome to come over here and ride in fresh water whenever you want!

Where are you buying from? Someone local or internet dealer?

I know for a fact that the dealer pays about 750$ for a single axle boatmate trailer for a 22' boat with oil bath bearings. Might be an extreme discount when they buy a new boat from the manufacturer, occasionally the dealer gets an extra one. Keep asking your local dealers, sometimes they get an "orphan" trailer, came with the boat but the person doesn't
want it because they have a lake house, whatever. They usually put it with a used boat, but sometimes there's an extra taking up space.

Very true, Psyclone! Mike, give Jim a call over at Bay Area Watersports, he may be able to hook you up.

Steve, it's a local shop here in st pete that's going to make me the aluminum one. The other pricing I got was from dealers.

Psyclone, that's a good idea. I did make a few calls yesterday but no luck.

Scott, I'd check them out but I already got the other one going. I didn't think of calling dealers other than Nautique although I did call a couple of the fishing boat places around here. Most of don't even know what a ski boat is!

Anyway, I should have my new one tues or wed.
