I wouldn't do any tubing from the tower. Use the rear tow bar.

tubing creates such a fatty drag

Think about the air you could get off of that. I wouldn't do it though unless there is someone really light behind it.

I would advise against pulling by the tower. I was pulling my kid sister on our mable (3-per)with it attached to the ext pylon. I figured since we weren't going fast it would be fine. During a slow turn the front of the tube dug in and acted like an anchor nearly capsizing the boat. I was quick with the countersteer, but it was a pucker moment for sure.

so on a v-drive, would you hook it to the ski pylon or the hook on the back of the boat?

I pull an Obrien Super Screamer from the tower all the time. It works great. I have friends that pull two at once with their Mastercraft from the tower with a couple of teenagers on each tube. They have been doing it for years with no problems. It keeps the rope out of the water when turning. If the tower is installed correctly it should be fine.

Towers are not designed to pull tubes. To due so is negligent IMO.

Just ask the tower manufacturer or Darwin.

we had our mable dig the front of it in the water after slowing down and it created such a drag it snapped the rope. it was a thick tube line. personally, i hate tubing. been skipped across the water one too many times. lol.
