Swing away tongue trailer kits

Just wondering if anyone here has modified their trailer with one of these after market kits?Was it pretty simple or a total pain in the arse?
Also is your trailer any worse off with it?

I know kstate put one on his trailer when he rebuilt it. I'm sure he'll chime in. But you might be able to find the thread on his trailer restore. It was an older ps190 trailer.

Most trailer stores sell the piece... If I remember correctly its in the $120 range for the swing away tongue. Just sawzaw the old tongue off, bolt it on and weld if you wish... I welded mine but according to the instructions you don't have to... But I didn't just trust the bolts...

looks like a 3x4 inch tube kit is about $129 and a 3x3 inch tube kit is $109 according to Nextag... I personally purchased mine from Croft Trailer...

They don't have them on thier website at the moment but you could probably call them and order it.
