Transcend 142------2005 any good???

Hi I just wanted to know if the 2005 Transcend 142 is a good board. I have a Tattoo 143 and I want to upgrade to something much better.

The Transcend is a great board if you are into an aggressive popping 3 stage rocker board. It is not a fast board but if you have good edging skills it will pop you high wake to wake. I really like the shape but preferred the molded fin feel of the Absolute. If I had a second board it would be a Transcend.

If you want to make a true upgrade, I would get a 2007 Transcend. IMO it's a litle more rider friendly than the 2005/2006. Or like heavy said, check out the lute.

The only choices i have are the transcend 142 2005 or the transcend 138 plat 2006 but the plati is 200 bucks more expensive. Is there a huge difference between both??

2005-2006 are the same

2007 is totally different

So, with the price difference i think i am going to buy the 2005.
Do you know if there is a big difference with the tattoo??

I would personally choose the Tatoo. I haven't ridden that exact board, but it's bascially a modified Prodigy which I liked very much, with deeper molded fins.

The Transcend mold you're looking at is not a favorite. A lot of guys thought it was really slow riding, including me.

CWB alway recycles the good molds. Absolutes become Flames and Pures, Prodigys become tatoos and Factors....etc.

That Transcend mold was dumped.

When I rode the 05 Transcend I thought I was draggin a pile of seaweed. Dam that thing was slow. But some W2W riders like it.

That Transcend is one of the best poping boards out there. It's sure not a fast board.
I had the 2005 transcend, got a marius, when it came out, rode it for about 3 months. Then I tried the transcend again and ride it till now. At least the same pop with more control and softer landings.
I know not everybody think so, but that's my experience.

thank you guys for the input. The thing is that here(Uruguay) we don't have anywhere to buy boards, so i don't have many choices. It would be amazing to be in the US...you guys have a LOT of boards to chose from. Anyway thanx again

I ride a transcend 05 and love it! I haven't ridden a whole bunch of other types of boards so I can't make many comparisons but I really like it!

I was thinking about getting the transcend (not 07). How slow is it?
Can you compare it to something in speed? Slower than the first version of the HL Premiere? As slow as the old FM Josh Smith pro model?

Thanx J-Rod you save me from doing a mistake...maybe i'll wait and hang with the tattoo and try to get an Absolute 06 or 07, i don't know how because i'm in a place were wakeboarding doesn't exist but we'll see.
