I guess I took to long to start and finish my Enzo speaker grill project the orignal thread got archived LOL. Well I got the grills and the box back from Harrold last night, He hooked me up big time I owe you huge Harrold
Ok so back to the project. Dammm this thing took on a life of its own and sort of grew and grew. The SMT (surface mout tech) LED lights I got from Kris at Wake Specialty sort of opend up a bunch of project's that were not possable. The LED projects just spun off from there.
Warning for those of you wanting to take on a SMT project the LED's are kind of delicate when they are not mounted. You see the circut board they are soldered on bends quite easy to the point when you have long run's like I did they can break very easy. You have to use the ut-most care until they are secure they will not take the constant bending. Kind of like how you can break a coat hanger if you bend it back and forth a few times. And I handled them with care but the 15 times I took them in and out of the grills to get a perfict fit I broke a few here and there. And yes you have to re solder in new segments that go bad.
