Advice on buying a new boat

I am currently riding behind an 88 bayliner and would really like to move up to an inboard for under 15k preferably lower. What kind of boats make a good wake. I know the pro star 205 does but what about the mastercraft maristar or Tri Star 190. Also other brands. I'm told older supras put out one of the best wakes such as the sunsport and mariah. What about malibu's is the sunsetter a good choice or any other older malibu's? Thanks for the advice i really apreciate it

Im in the same situation and Ive made my mind up that my next boat will be a Mastercraft Pro Star 205.. You can get them all day around here for 15-17k..

I have HEARD that the Tristar puts out a decent wake. Look for barefoot nautiques and 2001(model,not year) nautys. The barefoot I believe is a V drive and will throw a big wake.
