We're still working on picking a winner. I narrowed it down to 8 finalists and now Malibu is trying to decide which one they like. They are also re-working the designs to match the new 2006 gel coat, which is slightly different from the 2005. We should have the winner picked by the end of the week!

can you announce the finalists? If I am a finalist, I would like to know if I should make out a (bribe)check to David Williams, or WakeWorld....haha

Not really. I guess there is always the chance that they could come back and tell me that none of my choices are going to work for some reason. They we have to look through the other entries again. ...but if you'd still like to send a check.

Is this going to end up like that contest for the KMC wheels a few months ago and just disappear with no winners??

Sorry guys, I'm still waiting on Malibu. They did get the 8 finalists re-worked into the 2006 color scheme and they made a lot more changes than I thought they would. As big a fan as I am of the 2005 color pattern, I'm even more stoked on the 2006 pattern. I can't wait to show everybody! I'd promise you that we'll have the final decision this week, but I did that last week and it didn't work out too well. I'll let you know as soon as they let me know. Jimmy, what KMC wheels are you talking about? We've never had KMC sponsor a WakeWorld contest.

It wasn't a "wakeworld contest", but it was posted on wakeworld.

Matt van de Heuvel(sp) won if I am not mistaken. It has an article on how he obliterated his leg in a wakeskate accident and also how he has the new wheels now.

The winning boat rocks. Of course I prefered my black and green boat, lol. But I love the touch of yellow, makes it look really detailed and stand out, and matches perfectly with the interior.

Dave ~ did you only consider boats with the Blade tower on them?

Although the instructions specifically said that we were going with the Blade tower and that that is what you should incorporate into your design, I didn't throw out any entries if they didn't have that tower on it. In fact, I can't even remember any that didn't have the Blade on them, so I must not have been paying attention to it.
