There is a HUGE difference in Wake size and shape between the Tiges and the Nautiques. Nautique has a much lighter and narrower hull- around 92-94 inch beam I recall? The Tige is 102" and outweighs the competition by a minimum of 1000 Lbs.-BEFORE you add ballast! While this can be hard on gas consumption, there is no comparision to the wakes- the Tige is MUCH better- Wider, very crisp but not too steep. You can ride at 75 ft. and it's like being at 85-90 with any other boat. Also, the Tiges have very high freeboard and better seating. In the Nautique you kind of feel like you're riding very high out of the boat. I have kids and I like feeling like they're safe in the boat and the Tige provides that nicely. If you're going to Ski 90% of the time and wakeboard occasionally, then you may want to go with the Nautique- it has a much better skiing hull and wake shape at 32-36mph than the Tige, but we tend to board more these days. Hope this helps.
