Built in clock on speedo does not hold time

We just took delivery of our 04 ws lsv. Everything works just fine, except we set the clock thats built into the speedo, and when we turn the boat off, then back on, the clock does not keep it's time, goes back to the famous blinkin 12:00. Any advice/ideas would be great.

obviously it isnt wired into a hot wire.

bring it back and have them wire it correctly.
