Pierce, There should be grease fittings on the inside of the hull right on the rudder and on the rudder end of your cable. Smearing a tiny bit of grease along the cable shaft (that connects up to the rudder) is not a bad idea either. If that does not cure your problem, then you are probably due for a steering cable change. I believe the insides of the cable are teflon coated and not really "greaseable" and so must be replaced when the teflon is worn.
