Beyond that, im a little confused on what you are looking to do. If I am reading this correct, you are pulling a 12" Polk driven with 400W in place of a 10" witgh 300W? Or are you adding 10" in addition?

I am going to pull the 12 that is getting the 400 now. It's location is far from optional. It's under the observers seat enclosed in that compartment. It's barely noticeable under there. It leaves a to to be desired. My old boat I had that same 12 at the drivers feet in a custom box with the same power and it was more than enough in that environment. So my options I believe are vent the walkway wall and fire the current sub out, go with a monster 12 under there and feed it huge power, or taking the IB route and firing that right into the cockpit area.
From what I can tell and have found the direct IB option seems to be a solid solution. Would you recommend something different?

That thought has crossed my mind as well. That's a huge port there in the walkway and I still lose the storage. It's give an take in everything here.
I guess I should've looked at the M series a bit closer. I just assumed it was way to $$ like the jump from the MX -M series speakers, but the sub jump isn't that much
