Great color scheme, really a timeless look. I'm liking the look of it and that surf wake.
What's the setup you're running? Is it just the stock weight or additional? Listed or using the Gen 2 surf tabs?

beautiful boat, classy colors, and nice looking wave. Dumb question but what are the recessed pockets for on the platform?

They are grips basically. The older slatted teak deck had spacing in the slats to grab hold of. The more solid teak decks would receive milled out hand grip areas. The fiberglass style one have large depressions. I suppose you can also put your drink in there and other stuff while stationary.

My friend caught me on his Helicopter Cam last weekend, cool to see from another angle
50hr Mark hit now.Bought leftover 14 in March
Everything is working well, Basic service complete...
Had to tighten some screws down , ..
Upgraded the Stereo with 3 Subs 2-REV10, and 2- JL 900/5 Amps ..need to chase down a hi pitch buzz when engine runs.
GEN2-
Having own the Same Model X30 with GEN1 and GEN2 and same available Ballast on hand.
GEN2 wins on Ease of Use alone
GEN1 was able to produce the same Great Wave, but it had to be Listed quite a bit to get it.
13 vs 14 X30 also has a better core Fusion Stereo that integrate with Dash system and Remotes
We had a
6.2(2x upgrade) in the 2013
and
5.7 (base) in 2014
With the SAME ballast set up in both Models(3000lbs +/-) we found the 5.7 with OJ Wake PRO V3 815 to be more than adequate to launch the X-30 on plane (slowly) and up to 37MPH top speed full ballast.
a Loss of 2 MPH over stock 722 Prop EMPTY
If you are worried about the 5.7 Don't be unless you are at EXTREME altitude.

Lashburn1, great looking boat. I will probably make the switch to either a 10 or a 30 next time out. I have a couple of questions,
1. do you or anyone you go out with Slalom? My wife still loves to ski and my 2010 X15 throws a pretty big wake which I hear about every time she skies. this has me leaningin towards the X10 but I really hate to give up the space.
2. I am from louisiana and it gets very hot down here as you can guess. I really don't know where in CA you are or where you boat but do you have any issues with the dark parts of your interior getting scorching hot? I have a couple of black spots in my interior and it is bad when you step on it or sit on it. I have stopped considering boats with dark color schemes inside (although I love to look at them) as the heat factor is too high.
once again, great boat and it looks awesome.

X10-X30 are the best Multi use Boats that SURF when in the MC line UP..
Decent but not PRO Ski wake, Good Wake Board Wake, even Better Surf Wave.
All while handling better than ..Say a X25, 23, 20 deeper V hulls
We regularly have 95-110 deg days on our Rivers and Lakes in SO-Cal
F-ING HOT as Heck
Yes the Dark surfaces Will Burn Your Bum!!! Careful
this is My 2nd X30 we sold the 13 in Part to too many DARK surfaces..
the CARBON Materials are the BEST for out climate, the Breathable fabrics BLUE and BLACK in mine are the Hottest... Blue is Not too Bad...
FurtherMore, the GREY Swimstep AND Crossovers step are SUPER HOT in direct SUN
Im am getting fitted for NEW Faux Teak from GatorStep today (same as SeaDek)
I have had it in Other Boats , work s well..
Ill keep you posted
The FiberGlass Surfaces are largely White on topsides, just a bit of Black around Back...gets hot.
Also harder to keep nice looking with Waterspot etc...

Can't wait to see the Gatorstep layout. I am needing to change my carpet out in my X15 and will probably go with either Seadek or Gatorstep.
Did they already have a layout for the X30? I am thinking about just pulling my carpet out and making my template from that. Is that what others have done when measuring?

Gator has X15 Templates already I believe...
its Not the Same as the Carpet, as there are CUTOUTs for bilge access points
They are Making a Carpet replacement Template next week for the X30
They already had, and I signed off on the Swim Step and ALL other NON Skids surfaces..
I'll post pics when I get it installed

The deckadence is a little odd at first but it's way easier to clean and doesn't soak with water the way carpet does. That said, I think the gator teak would look awesome.

Beautiful boat! If you still have the stereo noise, ground your head unit (or whatever the source unit is) to the same spot as your amps and it'll probably take care of the problem.

It worked.
I change the ground from the ignition set, to the external amplifier ground, that was wired all the way back to the battery.
Tested with and without the engine on, no buzz
Also the key, and head unit control the power to the amplifiers as before. So they are not left on by accident
