I posted from my phone before now on my computer more pics of my old girl, sad to see her go. Here are some of the rear custom seat i built for her to make it a much more useable boat. I used the rear seat base sack from fly high under it with a jabsco pump that was T'd off to the front locker sack. Wake was niice for my first wake boat.

Used to have an older Sport Nautique. It is still my wife's favorite boat. That GT40 made it ride like a race car.

nice work chad. If I ever bought an older direct drive I would want to do something along those lines as well. I can' believe more companies didn't design their boat with the seat base that can be moved up to make a bigger sunpad.
Love the older direct drives. Keep them coming.

Brett,
I agree I was sick of sacks all over the floor. As we all know floor space is at a min in dd's

That has to be one of the fastest inboard tournament ski boats of all time. Great looking boat by the way.

Thanks for the compliment.
but naa there's faster...maybe not a faster 90 Sanger DX though. The new 2013 Sanger DXII with the 6.0 Indmar goes over 50, about 54 max.
the 383 is only 350hp, mine runs right up to 50 mph, gets there real quick. under $15K to build it.
tows footers 47-48 for one foot wake slalom, awesome barefoot boat, wake is just like a 2013.

How you like that tower? I keep going back and forth between that one and a joystick pro series for my 205.

The tower was great. I had the joints welded. Where the tubes met the inserts the set screws kept coming loose. I also built a custom bimini for it.

I was in the same boat (pun intended) as you, couldn't afford a Wakesetter, so I made my own, out of a '93 Sunsetter.

Since I don't see any others, here is my '85 Air / 2001 Ski Nautique. A few mods make it a legit Air, plumbed balast (1,200 lbs), Tower and PP. It was accidentally named the "Corre Raft" when I started removing the rear letters for a wet sanding and decided the two I got off was good enough. Love this boat and the wake behind her.

I think the last owner was named Steve but I bought it through a consignment dealer. He went by Skubz on WW and he posted about the build. http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/m...tml?1217532219
She's do for a wet sanding, some new vinyl and tower speakers this season but it runs great and throws a great wake. It's no wakesetter though Jo.

Will do Brett, I think you may have said that before too.lol. Just waiting for all of the interior from the windshield back to be replaced as all of the original vinyl was all torn and cracked. Will be like a semi new boat again this year.

Here's our 1988 Ski Centurion Tru Trak II down at Lake Powell last summer. Why would someone spend good money on a PWC, when you can buy these older DD's for less money, and be able to do all the things you can on a PWC, PLUS all the things you can do on a boat?

^^ Because they are dumb. I amazed at how much you see it. People have 2 brand new seadoo's on a trailer and they could've had quite a nice boat for that. To each their own but I rather have a boat.

Here is the first boat my wife and I bought this past July. It is a 1985 Mastercraft Prostar SS. I bought it off the original owner with 700 hours and the original interior. The last picture has my Dad's '03 prostar 197.

I picked up a 1968 Keaton DD for a song. Still have a lot of work to get it out there but am almost done rebuilding the 455 olds it came with. Lot of HP for a 17' boat.

You could make the seat back open up. Use that as space to put your stuff. That was my next project on it. Make the top panel open. Never got around to it. Sold her
