I have a friend who rode a demo with him last summer and Harley said he was running north of 7k on his boat at home which I don't doubt. I remember rusty ran something like 7k too

ok so i didn't realize how large his wake was until watching the edit I posted (X1 wake with about 1600 lbs) and this video back to back. That is MASSIVE, holy crap. His riding looks so good too for the amount of rotation he does. Unreal.

Bwahahaha... My friend saw him riding one time and says every time he hits the wake a little hampster jumps out of his ass to give him and extra push
Regardless of how much weight the kid runs... 2:05 could really be the most insane trick I've seen on a wakeboard to date.

If you break down the trick its actually just a melan wake jump
I think we should call it the "I'm way better than everybody"

But I agree, the kid is on a whole different level than anybody else IMO.
2:05 - crazy sick, and what about the kung-foo kicked out indy tantrum right before it? Very basic trick for these guys, but that little kick right in the middle set it apart from the others in my book.

I'm not normally one to label someone (or anything) as the greatest ever; but I'd have to agree. Harley is changing the sport forever. I imagine it was a lot like this when Parks was up and coming.

Information overload... Did pretty good identifying the tricks until that TS OA whatchamacallit. Then all I saw was just a buch of flying spinning summersalt something or others. I'll watch this one a few more times, I think.

Definitely gotta be those new engines their running in those MC's this year. 6.1L? That's beefy!!! The Parks Edition had ballpark 500 horse right? That could push 8K for sure.

The new Ilmor's gotta be able to push some weight. I have an '04 X-Star with the 8.1L Vortec in it... I'm curious how much I'd be able to get up on plane with that

Rusty did a demo around here a few years ago before any of those new motors and he was running like 7 or 8k plus 5 people and he was getting up just fine. It was a demo xstar so I doubt it was even propped that low but he had to swerve a bit to get up. I think that boat had the 6.0. From what everyone says u cant get over 4k on plane w the 350 block. It's all about weight location. Actually if the weight is towered the front it will actually help you plane. My friend said it tried to nose dive when coming off the throttle

But yea I think it's safe to say Harley now has even surpassed parks in the early 2000s. I mean every pro has one or two hammer tricks but Harley has like 20 it's stupid! He's got harf and phils sig. tricks. And is even doing whirly dicks switch.

Yeah that's his technique, he does it on every blind pete I've shot. Looks pretty dope when going through footage frame by frame.

That handle toss is unreal. This video was watched about 15 times in my house Monday morning. Warning, this is a terrible hangover cure. In fact, having your mind repetatively blown like that makes it worse. Be warned.

Overrated?
Ok, I'm kidding. I agree with the opinion of him being the best ever. Parks was light years ahead of the other guys in his prime but I think the gap between Harley and the others is bigger than that of Parks and his fellow riders at the time. And like others have said, it's amazing he not only can he do so many things others can not but he also makes everything look so much better with the tricks others can do.

In the words of the great Travis Rice, in most video parts 'you got your hammers, then you got your fillers'
I have to thank the videographer for throwing in a 'filler' at the end to make the rest of pro riders today feel better, cute dog.
My friend rode a demo day with with Harley and told me he fills his ballast with jello instead of water and makes everyone in the boat fill their pockets with pennies. Even the dog.

That vids got me sitting upside down in my cubicle spinning in my desk chair pretending like I’m doing those nasty moves. And I’m still falling. I love when videos that get the stoke going like that.
I like the conspiracy theories to explain Harley’s mad skilz. Jello, bahaha.
I think 2:05 looks kind of like a pete with a handle pass… It should prob be called the new trend and/or good luck, cause I’m sure everyone’s going to be tryn’ it.

Thinking about the 2:05 (I think this is the name everyone is going to be calling it), and this is probably how a bunch of people are going to try it (haha!) is to come in toeside wrapped, let your lead hand go to get the grab but never unwrapping and land with you back hand never leaving that position. insane...
Also, I've heard people refer to certain riders as "If I had to show someone completely new a video of what wakeboarding is, I'd show them __________." This edit would definitely fit the bill.

Rusty does the same thing on a lot of his roll to blinds. Just watch his sections in butter effect and bent felix, they're pretty well highlighted there.
